HELLO Looking at buying a ford taurus ses, little skeptical because i hear alot of things? - Im looking at buying a 2003 ford taurus ses, With 85,000 miles only 2 owners, but i keep hearing bad news about them, there transmissions in general it has me a little skeptical, any suggestions? good deal or no?

I am buying a Ford Taurus 1996 and need help? - I have $1743.96. It is $1500 and I have to get a parking permit for the college. I know I need insurance and registration. Do i have enough money to buy it and is there anything else I need to do. the permit is 55$ a term and I am planning on getting a job this summer but am currently at the school rt. now.

What should I look for when buying a 2000 Ford Taurus? - I did the carfax report, that turned up clean, nothing reported. There is only one ding on the back passenger door. I minor scrape on the back bumper. 76K miles, $4,995 price tag, but has some things that need to be fixed. My mechanic told me there is a minor oil leak in the pan, the serpentine belt needs replacing, the battery is original and should be replaced, cylinder #5 misfires, and it drifts to the right which could be low tire pressure which I did notice. Is there anything that is a common problem in these cars that I should know about? And what is the best way to go about lowering the price. I am looking into buying a 05 Ford Taurus w/37,000 miles on dealing asking 9,950.Is it a good deal? - Everything seems okay w/the motor and interior. They are going to replace the carpeting. I was wanting to know if it's a good car for that $ and will not cost me an arm and leg in the long run fixing it all the time.

Thinking about buying a newer ford taurus? - I know that these are good cars and all but how much would a newer one cost? I am wanting about a 2002-2005. Ok. For all the smartass comments...I'm a ford woman. Can't stand general mistake. I would rather be driving my car than pushing it. So thanks anyway I will keep my fords. Ok. Again here we go. I don't give a fuck how common they are. My grandpa has one with 350,000 miles on it. Never had a problem out of it. He is the second owner. I am just wanting something cheaper on gas because my mustangs are just drinking it.

Does anyone else have these problems with Ford Taurus? - I bought a Ford Taurus with the balance of a 3 yr/36000 mile warranty. The transmission broke at 36,500 miles (coincidentally one week before the 3 years would've been up as well). We had it rebuilt with a 12 mo/ 12000 mile warranty, and it broke after 13,250 miles. Is this a common problem that their transmissions are junk? I want to know if I should continue to dump money into this car, or cut my losses.
