i have a 1988 jeep comanche and when i stars it up the engion races and i dont know why?

i just bought a 1988 jeep comanche and when i start it up the engine races to the point of where i have to turn if off. the pistons and everything were just replaced recently. so if you can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Before buying the engine, I need to know if they are interchangeable or not. If there is anyone that can help me with this, I would really appreciate it. :) Thanks. The 1987 Comanche is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine. The 1995 Wrangler engine has the same details. It's very stiff and if a great deal of pressure is applied, I can move it into 4WD and it works, but I'm worried about forcing something so stiff.
