I think it would look awesome with black rims, black paint job, and a roof rack. I don't know much at all about customizing cars. I just bought a 1991 Volvo 240 4cylinder 2.3L with 154k miles that has some lifter noise.? - Is this a easy way to repair this? Are the lifters adjustable? Any suggestions to quiet the noise down or anything? I don't see any leaks or notice any difference when driving.

Which car is more expensive, and nicer--a Volvo 240 or a VW Jetta ?? - My stepdad won't buy a Volvo 240 1989 for me, he says they are expensive to fix. But his daughter has a 1999 VW Jetta. I really want that Volvo--so is it safe to argue that it isn't more or just as expensive to insure and fix as a Jetta ?? Please help.

i bought a volvo 240 serise and i use up a lot of gas question is this normal or what? - it is a 1987 volvo with a 4cyclender the owner before me did not give it a tune up in a year but would change its oil i placed new sparkplugs and thats it do i need to give it a makeover overhaul or just a tune up help need ways to help me save gas oh by the way this is the frist time i have ever owened a volvo

Speedometer/odometer problems on 1986 Volvo 240? - What could be causing the speedometer to not work on a 1986 Volvo 240? We bought the car used, and the speedometer wasn't working when we bought it. The entire electrical system seemed pretty twitchy when we got it. My husband has managed to repair everything else on it, but not the speedometer/odometer. Sometimes it comes back on while driving, all of its own accord, and once it does, the cruise control functions. What things should we check? I'm hoping it's something we can work on ourselves, since we really can't afford any costly repairs at a garage. Thanks to the good suggestions you guys gave, I now know the problem is mostly likely in the cluster. We've checked everything else that was suggested and that's the only thing left that it could be. Thank you so much to everyone who responded. And yes, it is electronic. I should have mentioned that in the original question, sorry.
