for my graduation my parents are buying me a 1964 volkswagen vanagon, but they will only go through on the deal if we can install across the shoulder seatbelts and airbags, is this in any way possible, and if so, how much will it cost?

How to fix the deteriorating foam on the inside of an engine bay cover ? Volkswagen vanagon / westfalia?

The vehicle fuel hose broke and squirted biodiesel up on foam engine bay cover. (fuel lines are now viton, in case anyone is wondering)
Anyway, The foam is flaking off and falling apart. Is there something I can spay on it to firm it up? Or is there a thin sheet of material that I can roll over the foam and glue on? I've checked junk yards for any similar model vanagons hoping to just buy the complete engine bay cover but couldn't find one. Hoping there is a spray that would stop the foam from flaking and will hold up under heat.
