HELLO Question about buying a Volkswagen Jetta? - I have been looking into buying a Volkswagen Jetta used as my first car, and I want to know if it is a good choice or not. I like the 1995-1999 generation and the 2000 to 2005 generation also. Could someone give me info about the two and similarities and differences? Thank you! I am in fact looking to get a 5 speed manual.

I was thinking about buying a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta GL? - I've always wanted a Volkswagen. I've always liked this car. They are trying to sell it to me for $2000.00 with about 146,000 miles on it. I was wondering how good of a car are Volkswagen's. Can anyone give me some feedback please.

Should I buy a used or a new Volkswagen jetta? - I would like to buy a Volkswagen jetta. I found a 2006 value pack Jetta with 22500 miles at a dealership (not VW) for sale at $15,200. However, If I am not wrong, I can buy a brand new value pack Jetta for about $18,000 or so. I am not sure if spending few $$ more for a new car is better than buying the used one. Any suggestions?

Buying a Volkswagen Jetta? - My neighbor is selling their Volkswagen Jetta, and offered me $4,000 to buy it. It is a 2001 manual 5-speed transmission, with 139,000 miles. Perfect condition (no kids, pets, or smoke).I do not no which model it is. My main question is "is it okay to put a turbocharger in this car". My grandpa has told me that it is not safe to do this unless the car comes from the factory with the turbo in it.

How to use cruise control on a Volkswagen Jetta? - So I bought a Volkswagen Jetta 2000, and no user manual came with it. I noticed that VW cruise control looks different (they're not on the steering wheel like many cars I have driven, but on a handle to the left side). If anyone know how to use it, let me know, a bit more detail will be appreciated (ie: how to set cruise on, resume, coast, accelerate)

Buying a car- Volkswagen Jetta is it a good idea?!? - Well I've been thinking about buying a new car and I want a Volkswagen for sure and I like the Jetta. There are 3 different kinds the "S", "SE", and "LX" <-- not to sure about that one. I was thinking the Jetta S because its like 16,000-18000 which is a good deal, but my dad said that the engine is really weak and that it won't last me that long. So can anyone tell me which kind I should buy the highest I can go is about 24,000 to maybe 25,0000. So please give me some advice on this car. thank you

My son is interested in buying a Volkswagen Jetta. Are there any model years or styles he should avoid? - My son has his heart set on a manual-transmission, used Jetta, costing less than $12,000. I know that they come in a variety of styles (GLI, GLS, etc), but don't know the advantages of any of them. Could you share your knowlege regarding safety, reliability, parts repair/expense, gas mileage,,, He is getting out of a no-win situation with an Audi and we haven't been able to persuade him to buy American or Asian. Aarrrgh! Anyway, I would appreciate any Jetta pros and cons you can pass along. Thank you!
