HELLO what are the bad things about buying volkswagen? - I heard all volks have to be serviced by the VW dealer only or else the warranty is gone. is that true? Even after the warranty is over, isn't it really hard and expensive to maintain?

I am looking into buying a 2007 Volkswagen Passat and need some answers to some unresolved questions? - I would like to purchase the 2007 Volkswagen Passat. All that I have done so far is been searching online at dealers inventories. So I guess some the questions that I have are: 1. Do all Passat models require premium fuel? 2. What is the difference between the 2.0T and the 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition? 3. Is the Passat a good value for a family of 4? 4. I want a sunroof in my Passat, is that included in package 1? By the way what is package 1? I have searched all over the VW website and although it is an impressive and interactive site I cannot seem to find the basic information. Please let me know if you know anything. Thanks.

And all the reviews that I've read said that they are ok on reliability. Some say they love them others say they are pieces of junk. Are they a good car or a disaster?

well i was interested in buying a volkswagen? - a wolkswagen thing to be more specific but anyway i was wondering someone told me that volkswagens were incredibly easy to take care of mechanically wise because their engines and everything were so simple... they said thats why the hioppies drove them lol anyway is that true? if i buy it would it be very easy to keep it running? and if anyone has anything to say about the Thing i would love to hear it thanks

Some people have recommended I purchased a 1.9 TDI. I know TDI have great fuel consumption, however, is the engine more technical, therefore costs more to fix?

Should I buy a used or a new Volkswagen jetta? - I would like to buy a Volkswagen jetta. I found a 2006 value pack Jetta with 22500 miles at a dealership (not VW) for sale at $15,200. However, If I am not wrong, I can buy a brand new value pack Jetta for about $18,000 or so. I am not sure if spending few $$ more for a new car is better than buying the used one. Any suggestions?

I am buying a 1988 Volkswagen Golf and it's been sitting over the winter. I need some tune up tips.? - It's an 88 VW Golf 1.8 5 speed manual, and it has been sitting over the winter. Perfect car for me getting ready to go to a community college. I was just wondering what I should definitely need and probably should do to give it an ideal tune-up to get it running smoothly. New spark plugs, tires, oil change? That kind of stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need information on the volkswagen new beetle and the new beetle convertable before buying it? - In two years, for my seventeenth birthday, i am going to be paying for half of my car and i need as much information on the beetle and beetle convertable as i can get. i already decided that i want the volkswagen beetle for the looks, gas mileage, and to just have a fun car, but i still want to get all the pros and cons of it. i have been doing a lot of research on it, but the research is different than actual life experience, and that is where i need the help. i want to know everything that anyone can tell me about it. i do also want to know if there is a better car to have as your first car between the beetle and the convertable. i also know that there is an option of a manual or semi maunal top for the convertable and wanted to know how practical they were. i am working on a small budget, so as much as i would like to add a bunch of accessories to the car, i probably will not be able to, so i just want to know about the regular car itself. thank you all sooo much for your help!
