HELLO Im thinking of buying a Toyota Tercel (between 1994-1998)...Advice please? - I just posted about buying a Ford...I am also considering a Toyota Tercel and would really appreciate some advice. 1994 Toyota Tercel burning oil and smells thru vent, what does that mean? - I just bought a 1994 Toyota Tercel 4 speed, manual. The previous owner said that it "burns oil" and she puts oil in it about every 2 weeks. Also, when I start it up, the burning oil smell comes through the vent. There is a little oil on the outside of the engine (perhaps from a teenager putting oil in, per his mother). The car does not leak oil and has had a very recent oil change. What could be wrong? Should I clean the oil off the engine? How do I do that? Why would it need oil every two weeks?

I just bought a 1992 toyota tercel for 1500 it only has 100k miles, I drive 60 miles miles round trip to work? - everyday, what is the best way to keep the car going strong besides regular maintenance, can I add somekind of additive to the engine? I have a 1994 Lexus ls400 but its killing my pocket, at $80 a week just to go to work, so I'm parking it and figured the little tercel will pay for itself in a few months on the gas savings.

what is the spark plug gap setting for a 1994 toyota tercel? - I recently bought some autolite brand spark plugs for my 94 toyota tercel. Since I have to describe for what kind of car it is the spark plug was already set to the correct gap. I have noticed that the car stalls or hesitates everytime I accelerate. I want to know if it is because I did not set it to the correct gap. I that is the problem what is the correct spark plug setting for a 1994 toyota tercel?

How much will it cost to replace a heating core in a 1996 Toyota Tercel? ? - Any idea how much it should cost an honest mechanic to replace the heating core in a 1996 Toyota Tercel.
