HELLO I am considering buying a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and need input? - I have heard a rumor that if you are running on only the electric motor that the A/C won't work. Is that true? If it is it would be a deal-killer for me as it gets too darned hot here in the summer. I can't think anyone would choose no A/C while sitting stopped at a traffic light! How are they otherwise for comfort, real world mileage, etc? Of course the A/C will work if the gasoline engine is on- but that defeats a lot of the purpose of getting a Hybrid!

thinking about buying a toyota highlander? - my budget is between $12,000 & $16,000. want a used SUV with milage between 40K-50K and year around 2004. now i own an avalon for about 7 years, very happy with toyotas and want to stay in it's class. can you give me some more options on which SUV to consider? I was also considering Dodge Durnago. I must have third row, DVD system and maybe a navigation system. any info will be greatly appriciated. thanks in advance

How can I protect my car from scratches from our cats? We bought a new 2009 Toyota Highlander.? - We just bought a new 2009 Toyota Highlander. We keep it in our garage every night, but we also have 4 cats that run around the garage. With our current car (a 2005 Ford Explorer), we have caught them on it, and there are scratch marks on the hood and the top of the car from them. With the new car, we will also have a sunroof, so that is also a problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

my parents toyota highlander was crashed will the warranty cover it? - my parents just bought a 2007 toyota highlander for $35,000. they got a warranty for the car that protects against damage except for 3 minor things i forgot the other 2 but one was brakes nothing major expensive. well last night our car got hit in the rear passenger side and the tire and bumper lights and shocks were damaged. the person who hit the car fled away. will my parents warranty cover it?

I'm torn between buying a Toyota or a GM, should I bother with GM now with bankruptcy looming? - I'm planning to purchase either a Toyota Highlander or a GMC Acadia in July. I love the Acadia but only like the Highlander. In light of the news that bankruptcy is imminent with GM should I even consider buying an Acadia? I'm worried that GM will shut down its GMC line of cars thus making it harder to resell or repair the Acadia at a later date. Any thoughts?

Can anyone tell me about the EMF levels in Toyota Highlander-Hybrid as opposed to Ford Escape? - I am thinking of buying a new Toyota Highlander-Hybrid and I've heard the EMF levels are lower than Ford Escape. Anyone out there concerned about this? HIghlander costs much more, Escape gets higher MPG, but I'm concerned about my health.
