Buying a Suzuki Grand Vitara 4 x 4, 2002 Model. What should I check before buying?

I am buying a Suzuki Grande Vitara Model 2002, 4 x 4.
Is there a specific Check List for checking this Model of car? Are there specific checks for the four wheel drive?
Any advice before I part with cash would be appreciated.
