What kind of mpg do the different Subaru Foresters get? - Hello. I'm planning on buying an '04 Subaru Forester this spring. I'm trying to decide between the standard motor and the XT (turbo). Edmund's suggested that the standard gets roughly 21mpg, while the XT gets 19mpg. I will definitely be getting a manual tranny. Also, Edmund's said that the XT requires Premium gas. So to those that have these cars... What kind of milage do your really get? And is it really necessary to fill the XT with Premium gas? Thanks!

1987 Subaru XT turbo GL Question? - I have this car and actually it's my second one in the last 10 years. This one I bought knowing it had issues, but haven't been able to find someone to fix it for me. Here's it is what I can tell you I know it needs for sure...I am looking for a front windshield for it if you know where I can get one, please let me know. I have contacted the local glass shops where I live and they don't make/cut that size. The other issue is (and I think it's a head but I am a girl who is kinda clueless about cars) When it starts (yes, it turns over and revs up) (and it's fuel injected) it runs really rough. After running and warming up a bit, you can drive it around the block, but only if you keep one foot on the gas and one foot on the break making sure to keep giving it gas when slowing down. It overheats within the first 5 minutes of driving and it dies if you don't keep some gas on even when slowing down. Any clues or ideas would be most helpful. Thanks, Lisa
