What causes my subaru outback's transmission to "slip/stutter"? - I recently bought a subaru legacy outback 1995. It "slips" sometimes, mostly when the gear is just shifted from P to D or R and it kind of stops slipping when you hit the gas. it does not seem to "slip" when on the road. by "slip" i mean it feels like the car is "stuttering".

I'm looking at buying a 2002 Subaru Outback H6-3.0 VDC and need some help? - I found the car online and it looks great on the outside, and the inside. However, it has about 107,000 miles on it and i was just wondering if that was too much mileage to make wrth my while. The car i have now is pretty old and falling apart, and i'd really like something with AWD. I really like this car but don't want to buy something that could be on its way out. I know that thats always a risk when buying used but, does anyone have any knowledge of Subaru's reputation, or even experience? A speedy answer would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
