Saturn Astra Questions & Answers from Yahoo! Answers
HELLO Could I get a Saturn Astra badged as a Vauxhall or Opel? - If I bought a Saturn Astra here in the United States, do you think they would let me have it badged as a Vauxhall or Opel? Like, put the Opel/Vauxhall stuff on a left-hand-drive Saturn?

Now that Saturn is being liquidated, is it wise to buy a Saturn? - I really like the Saturn Astra, but it's a little too expensive for me at the moment. However, about a month ago, GM announced that Saturn was being liquidated and Saturn as a brand would be discontinued. In a few years when I have the money, would it still be wise to buy a used Saturn Astra?

Do any men drive the Saturn Astra? - I am a 24 year old guy looking to buy a new car but the Astra seems like the only thing in my price range. It is also cheap on insurance and great on gas. The only thing that is holding me back from buying it is the fact that i think it looks kind of like a chick car......What are some other peoples opinions on this?

Saturn Astra Steering Rattle? - I bought a brand new 2008 Saturn Astra last month. I now have around 2k miles on it and it has developed a really annoying rattle behind the steering column. I'm quite sure it's inside the column and not elsewhere on the dash. In fact, it seems to be directly behind the airbag cover. It seems to rattle most around 2000rpm and is especially noticeable when it's cold out (below 40 Fahrenheit). I've also noticed that the steering wheel creaks and clicks when I turn it. Are the two related? I hate to whine about a rattle, but my passengers have heard it as well and I feel as if I have a crappy (but new) car. BTW, I love the car other than this issue! I should mention that the car has been in once and the mechanics at my local Saturn were unable to diagnose the problem in the 2 days I gave them.

My Saturn Astra won't start, could I have a lemon claim?!?! and what would I do? Thanks!? - I bought a brand new '08 model year Saturn Astra back in August of this year, now I have around 3,500 miles on my car and it's in the shop for the third time in a week because it just fails to start. My question is if this keeps happening like a fourth and or fifth time, would this be something covered under the lemon law? I live in Indiana I don't know if that is of help to you, and I bought the vehicle from a Saturn dealer in Illinois. Secondly, if my car was in fact considered a lemon, what are the steps I take to getting the vehicle replaced, or refunded? And would that even be worth my time? Thanks so much!! It is the same year I purchased the car, I have had it not even two months.

Ipod (MP3 player) to vehicle hook-up? - I recently bought a Saturn Astra and was broken hearted when after the fact I found out that the model I bought doesnt come with even the option of an MP3 player. So the Dealership is very sweet and sent us a very expensive gift, a 8g nano vid Ipod thing and JBL radial speakers, which I priced at about 500.00, which is great and all, but the downfall is, I only wanted the MP3 for the Car. Is there a highly suggested product from any of you that you could hook up an MP3 player (Ie: Ipod) to the vehicle, it only has a standard CD player, no Aux hook-ups or tape deck, I did some research about the FM transmitters but I keep reading bad review after bad review, If I'm going to spend 100+ bucks I'd like to know that what I get is going to work! So my questions, What products do you suggest? What should I stay away from? *Note: Remember this is a BRAND NEW car, I dont want to drill holes into my plastics, and it comes with OnStar so I can't remove the radio.

Should I Get a Saturn Ion? - I am about to get my first car and I'm looking for a compact car (easier to handle in parking lots, cuz i cant park) that is not too expensive. I've looked at Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac G5, Honda Civic, and all that. However, I really love those central-mounted instrument clusters that are found in Saturn Ions. That's one of the big reasons why I want an Ion. Plus, they aren't expensive, and they look okay on the outside for what you pay for. And i know its kinda picky and lame to want a car just becuz of the central-mounted instrument panel but its really important to me cuz i get so aggrovated when everytime i adjust a steering wheel and i cant see the gauges. Anyways, is a new 2007 Saturn Ion a good car to buy? *P.S.* (I'm kind of worried about Saturn ending the Ion this year and replacing it with Astra. Should this affect my decision?)*

Does Each Type of Car Require Their Own Parts? - Okay, I know absolutely nothing about cars, so I'm sorry if I say something wrong. I am thinking about buying a Saturn Ion... but I was told that they don't make them anymore. So I wiki'ed it, and apparently the Saturn Astra replaced the Ion. So....if I ever need car parts, would I be stuck for car parts? Like, wouldn't it be really hard and expensive to find car parts for an Ion if they stopped maing them? Or could they use Astra parts? Does each type of car require the parts from that type? Hope I made sense.

Which car is better to get? - I'm looking at buying either a new or used Toyota Matrix but after talking to my dad i'm not sure if i want it or not. I've been sharing my boyfriend's Pontiac Vibe which is pretty much the same kind of car for the past 6 months but once winter comes i'll need my own car. I was also looking at the Saturn Astra.
