What is turbo in a Saab and what does it do? - I am looking to buy a Saab 9000 CS and the person who is selling it said the mechanic said the "turbo" was broken. I think that would mean the turbocharger but I am not sure. What does it do and does the car need it? Any helps would be nice.

Buying used, 97' Dodge Ram or 95' SAAB 9000? - Both in good condition, both same price from a buddy of mine. The SAAB obv. gets better mileage, but if something breaks the repair costs will outweigh the fuel savings in no time. With the Ram I can do some carpentry on the side when I need extra cash. My steady job is only 2 miles from my door, so 4 miles round trip daily, we use the wife's car for anything else. So the fuel cost won't hit me too hard. Other than fuel, what are some deciding factors between these two, they are both in real nice condition, fully loaded and low miles.

1993 Saab Cse 9000 Transmission question? - I just bought a 1993 Saab Cse 9000 for 1800. Its a really nice car but the only problem is that it doesnt go in reverse. It grinds and pops out. Im wondering how much it would cost? Estimate. Ive been told $300, but when he looked at it and saw it was front wheel drive he said maybe $1500 because they have to take the engine out but he doesnt really know? Anyone help! Thanks Josh

How much would a fuel tank replacement on a 93 saab 9000 cost? - So my gas tank is leaking really bad and I need to have it replaced! I bought a gas tank from a junkyard to put in, so all I need is for a mechanic to put the fuel tank in for me. Any idea how much that would cost? I can't seem to find an estimate online anywhere.

I have a 93 saab 9000 cs with a running problem, after it warms up it surges at idle and engine cuts out? - what could it be? new fuel pump, new direct ignition, new fuel filter. temp sensor? I just bought the car and I am a mechanic, but I am stumped tried a new mass air flow senser and remains the same runs good for 15 min when first started.

Can a fuel pump from a saab 9000 be used in a saab 900s? - I have a saab 900s 1995 model, and my fuel pump is dead. I recently found a scrap saab 9000 (not sure on the year of this) and would just like to know whether it´s actually worth my while taking off the whole fuel tank to take out a pump that will not be compatible in my 900s! To buy a new fuel pump, it´s also quite pricey. Any help or suggestions appreciated.
