Do I need to visit a saab dealer to fit a SID2 unit to my 9-5? - I recently bought a saab 9-5 but the sid2 unit was broken tried to fix it with no luck, so i bought a recon unit but saab are charging me £57 to fit it. Do i need to bring it to saab to fit it?? It seems to be fitted like a stereo? Help please

Is a 2001 Saab 9-5 a good car to buy? - My neighbor is selling his, and I would like to buy it. It drives very well seems to be in good condition with 95,000 miles. I am a college student so I need something that is going to hold together. I do most maintenance on vehicles myself. But I would like to get some answers from others if older Saab 9-5's have any Red flags to know of. Any advice would be great.

Is the 1999 Saab 9-5 SE a good car? - I'm looking into buying a 1999 Saab 9-5 SE. It got it's water pump replaced at 135,000 miles, and the asking price is $4500, but this includes a turbo and new tires. Is this a good buy? Because Kelly Blue Book says its worth $3100, but with the new turbo and tires I think this is a good deal. Has anyone had any experience with this car/ is this a good deal?

How can I program / access the computer for my Saab 9-5? - I have a Saab 9-5 Wagon (2004) that I'd like to check out the computer for, and possibly program some options. Not engine performance - I know there are programs for that, like the BSR PPC, but just little convenience things, and just get an idea for what I can do. Is there a site somewhere that gives instructions on how to access the computer? I don't mind buying some equipment if it's not too pricey, but I'd think a certain amount can just be done with the onboard information panel. Thanks
