If I buy a 2008 Pontiac Torrent (new crossover) in 2009 will I save a significant amount of money?

I love the 2008 Pontiac Torrent, but I don't need a brand-new car. How much will it depreciate in one year? The MSRP is around 24K for it brand new right now. Is there a standard formula across the industry or does it just depend on the car?
