HELLO 91 plymouth laser intake? - what kind of cold air intake can i put on a 91 plymouth laser besides the k&n one thats like 200 dollars i bought a filter from auto zone it was a spectre one but its not big enought to over the mass air flow sensor by the its a 1.8 if that makes a difference

How do I install an aftermarket stereo in a 1990 plymouth laser cd player/cassette combo? - Hi. i have a 1990 Plymouth Laser with a factory amp, cd player, and cassette player. I bought a two piece wire harness and wired it to my new stereo. there is a left-over wire harness, and a black round 8 pin plug that both come out from the factory amp. when i turn on my new stereo, the power just flashes on/off. i hooked up the factory stereo without the extra wire harness/8 pin plug and no sound at all. the lights come on on both decks but no sound whatsoever. so, is there an adaptor i can buy or is there an easy way to bypass the amp? thank you. The car is in near mint condition and this is the first time the stock radio got pulled. All of the plugs are there and in like new condition. the factory amplifier is just below the bottom deck (it is a double din stereo) when i plug everything back into the factory unit all speakers work and sound great. i have an idea of what to do, which is trace every speaker wire and wire them directly to the new stereo's harness. i have hooked up many stereos in the past and have never encountered this. i was just looking for a faster/easier way to do it

1992 plymouth laser any good? I want mitsubishi eclipse...? - Is the 1992 mitsubishi eclipse M/T any good(for $400)? If so, then wouldn't the same year plymouth laser be just as good, seeing as it's the same car? Or is it a little different? I know it's an eclipse, but are there any changes, other than name and emblem(plymouth instead of mitsubishi)? I'm not looking for a very long term car, just a first car that I could learn to drive M/T on, and practice auto-tech stuff on. And keep, if I like it. It looks to be in good condition, but the guy says it has some "details", but nothing to serious. Are all the 2.0 Liter Engines in the (1990-1994)Eclipses the 4g63's and will it work in a Laser RS-T? - I might buy this engine for real cheap cause the timing belt went on mine i have a 1991 Plymouth Laser RS-T i was just wondering what engines came in what and would it work i have the facorty turbo on mine.

DSM 90 plymouth laser i think it is a fuel problem? - i dont have the money to take it to the shop so don't waist your time telling me to!!!!! But i am an amiture mechanic and i have a friend who knows a lil about the dsm motors, but this freaked us out... i bought the car with no tranny put a used one in and a brand new clutch, slave cylinder, and battery on it and for the first time i heard it crank over i was happy until it would not start the freaky part is, after scratching our heads for two days we relized air was coming out the throttle body. what the f$%k is going on? it has a good spark, so i think its a fuel problem. could you help me, give me some ideas please?

how do I install a car stereo? - I have a 1991 plymouth laser rs. I bought a new stereo for it and the wires that are in the car are different then those of the new stereo and none of the wires are marked. How do I go about figuing this out without paying someone to install it for me?

how much to repair rear quarter panels? - I want to buy a 94 plymouth laser but it wont pass a safety as is one for sure and most likely both rear quarters need to be replaced so how much would it cost to replace them and getting paint to match stock when your giving an answer please take into consideration that i live in winnipeg manitoba canada to be exact the car is a 94 plymouth laser rs turbo awd

Automatic Tranmission Issue... Please read? - I bought a 91 Plymouth Laser RS off of a friend for only $200. Engine runs, interior is mint, body is in somewhat good condition. Now I only actually bought it to chop out of my garage and part it out on eBay. Already got the front end and almost the complete engine wiring harness disconnected for selling. THE ISSUE>>>>> They got rid of the car because the transmission seemed to go on them. Now basically I haven't yet removed the trans from the car, so I haven't found the problem... yet. SYMPTOMS: -Car starts, no rattling, or other noises. - When put from park into any gear, it is like it is in nuetral! - Does not make any different noises (other than the engine slightly whining up knowing it is in gear). Soooo, by an educated guess, what would you put your money on the torque converter, the transmission gears, or the tranny linkage (which seems to work properly on the outer side of the tranny)????? :::::EDIT::::: I don't really need to fix anything. I'm parting the car, and hoping its just a shot torque converter rather than the tranny, since that tranny will make me some better money working. Hopefully, I'll find out the answer in a couple days once I pull it out.

i need your opinion!? - i recently bought a 1993 Plymouth Laser DSM, for those of you who dont know what that is - its basically a Mitsubishi Eclipse... anyway, i got the car from a friend for $400, but it runs great and no problems, except there is some body damage, and a busted up windshield.. Well, im thinking of buying another one strictly for parts for only $500 -- this one is in imaculant condition, excpet the computer is blown. I need your opinion! should i buy the other one for new fenders, hood, windshield, wheels, tires, seats, sidemirror, liftback, rear bumper, and so many other things....? i want to buy a manual car but fourth gear pops out sometimes is that a bad sign? - The car is a 92 plymouth laser and it drives fine except when you are in fourh it pops out and goes into neutral is that a sign that there will be quick future damage and to just avoid buying the car all together...someone tell me i have no idea how manual transmissions work
