HELLO I am thinking about buying a Mitsubishi MOntero Sport....? - It is a 2003 has 78,000(a little high). Asking price is $13,000. I honestly have never heard anything about mitsubishi's, good or bad. What do you think?

I have a Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS, the anti theft audio system is locked up. How do I unlock it? - I just bought a Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS (1997) and replaced battery and the radio was asking for a code. I entered codes.... at random. After three attempts, it displayed "off". I now have the correct code to enter, but can't reset the audio system to unlock it. Can someone please help me?

Anyway to check the cpu for past mileage on a 02 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 3.0L ES? - Looking to buy a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 3.0L ES Old odometer burnt out and salesguy tells me that he bought the car from a recent dealer auction for lower than what he's asking for. He's asking for $5600. Says the one in the car is from a recent totalled Montero, new Odometer runs and reads 11k. I questioned as to whether or not we can check the cpu for the mileage, he said its internal in the dash - dunno whether he didnt do it , was trying to push me away, or its fact that it really doesnt need to be done. His company(?) also offers different warranties, highest one is an additional $600, 100K bumper-to-bumper. His shop was pretty big and had quite a selection of nice cars including Range Rovers and Benz's. Also said to be better safe than sorry, he replaced timing belt/alternator/water pump Asked if i could bring to another mechanic, he said yes Is this a okay buy? As not to divert away from original quesiton, is there any way to check the cpu for old mileage

Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2000, few questions-10 points best answer? - So, I'm being sold a Misubishi Montero Sport from 2000 for, what to me, seems to be a very cheap price: $4,000, especially since the truck is in excellent condition, inside and out, but, I'm having some concerns in regards to how much gas it actually spends, it's a six cylinder, I'm not sure what that means, exactly. So, firstly, can somebody tell me how many miles to the gallon this truck spends? and with gas prices as expensive as they are these days, would you consider this a good investment? Lastly, after speaking to a friend about the car, I was told that Mitsubishi's are not great cars and that "he wouldn't buy a Mitsubishi car because they break down too much"... I'm not sure how much I believe him, I would like to hear different opinions about this, so, can somebody tell me whether or not he is right? As you can probably tell by my questions, I know absolutely nothing about cars, there for, I need all the help I can possibly get. If you can give me some feedback, I would greatly appreciate you. Again, my main concern is whether purchasing this car is a good investment or not. 10 points to the person who gives best answer.
