HELLO How many miles can I expect a 6-cylinder engine to get. I'm thinking of buying a Mercury Cougar with 97000 mi - The car is for my teenage daughter. It's a 99 Mercury Cougar. I want something reliable and I'm a real novice about engines and such. I have a Buick Park Avenue with a 3800 engine and know they'll go to 200,000 or more. Are there any other concerns or problems associated with this vehicle? Thanks for your help!

Help on buying the 2000 Mercury Cougar? - I'm looking to buy a new car and I have found a body style that I really like. The 2000 Mercury Cougar has a very modern look to it, which I like. I have found one used for $3,750 which I feel is a good deal. This car has 97,000 miles, it has the V-6 manual engine, it is burgandy with tan leather interior. It is "Loaded" with all the perks and is told not to have any mechanical problems. I have read up on this car and I have seen many complaints about "beauty only being skin deep." I am not a big person, 5'8 160 lbs, and I have read that this car has poor visibility? If you have this car can you please tell me when you love and hate about it? Thank you in advance!

think about buying a 1999 Mercury Cougar, help? - Its 3k with 83,000 mile on it. Looks great on the out side, haven't driven it yet. Does anyone know if this is a good car? I'm also looking into a 2002 Chrysler sebring with 109,000 miles at 3k.

How do I separate "button" from rearview mirror on 91' Mercury Cougar? - My rearview mirror has come off my windshield on my '91 Mercury Cougar. I bought a glue kit to put it back on and it says to remove the "button" from the rearview mirror so that it can be glued back on separately. The "button" looks like it should slide out of the rearview mirror but it doesnt want to come out. Does it slide out? Am I just not using enough force? Please help. Thanks.
