1981 mercury capri rs?

i am thinking of buying a 1981 mercury capri RS. I have been unsuccessful in finding information about the car and was wondering if anyone knows a site that has some legitimate specs. This car is used and might not be in the best condition so i need to know more about it in order to do some repairs if necessary.

I bought the capri owners manual on ebay to find out what it was, but no luck. Can anyone tell me what it does? Okay to update the question, it's a 91 Australian XR2 capri, . I will check monday if it is an ignition cut off switch. If it's a aftermarket alarm switch that was left after the alarm was taken out then I probably don't have to worry about it.
