HELLO i am thinking about buying mercedes benz S class 2002... ? - can you guys plz tell me how much would engine service cost and brake repairs and general repairs cost for benz?....my cousin told me you have to spend alot on inspection test ,,,,is it true ? i have two options nissan maxima 2005 or benz which 1 would you prefer?

How reliable is a MERCEDES BENZ S-CLASS? - I am considering buying a used Mercedes Benz S-Class with 30,000 miles on it. Even with those numbers, the car still costs about $75,000 (since it costs $90,000 NEW). How reliable are BENZs? Is there truth to the rumors of "electrical problems"? I test drove the S550 and its a mesh of computer technology and advanced systems so I could see how they could have problems but I'm wondering if the car is made fine enough to avoid most of those problems.

mercedes s-class buying help? - i want to buy a 2003 mercedes benz s500, w220 generation to those dont know how a w220 looks like-http://i.d.com.com/i/dl/media/dlimage/16/20/79/162079_large.jpeg w220's have everything i want, for a very reasonable price but the everyone's favorite consumer reports hates this car... you dont even need to be subscribed to them, you can find out that this car is the "least reliable luxury vehicle" FROM A WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE!!(according to CR-source- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W220#References) however... i trust JD power... look up any used s-class on jd power, it will be a reliable car, with great quality(unlike other mercs for the time bieng) so is consumer reports just a site biased towards japanese, and should i just ignore w/e they say? or should i just avoid the car all together?

Mercedes Benz S-Class Navigation CD help? - I have an S-Class but the navigation cd doesnt work in some areas of london (its outdated)..I have the 2001 version. I need the updated version - 2009 Tele Atlas Blaupunkt Travel Pilot DX for Great Britain. I dont want to buy it as the price is wayy too high! Can someone direct me to where i can download it? 15 year old Mercedes Benz s-class or new car? - My dad's mercedes broke down a few years ago, that thing is a tank and I really like it. He claims that it would cost the same amount of money to buy me a new car as it is to fix that one, and then I would be driving around in the "safest and coolest car" in south florida. I'm afraid that if he fixes the mercedes, he wont fix the interior, and the interior of that car is gross, old disgusting cracked leather. I would want to have the interior redone as well as fixing the car, but I don't think he would be willing to do that. Should I stick with the benz with the shitty interior or get a new car like a Prius?

Do you think DaimlerBenz is now crap because of the merger with chrysler? - My uncles owns a BMW 7 series, and swears to himself that he will never ever buy a Mercedes Benz S-class, because since the merger, Chrysler products have gone up, and MB products have gone down. What do you think? It is now obvious that BMW is the better German car. tiss tiss tiss MB.

you know how the c-class is the "poor man's benz?"? - the reason mercedes made it was for middle class people to buy a mercedes-benz at a middle class price to increase sales and or to appeal to younger, less wealthy customers and many people in e-class, s-class, cls, cl, sl and any upscale benz model tend to look down upon older c-class drivers because it's the "cheap benz," but do people with more expensive mercedes than the e-class look at e-class drivers the same, or do they just think 'oh, nice car, they must not have wanted something as large as my s-class?' btw the c-class looks nice, but i'm just saying... btw, i own a 2007 mercedes E320 the c-class as nice as it is really is a car for the masses... opinions?

Got my dream car!, THEN did the math. Should I sell before the loan turns upsidedown? - I bought my dream car ~2005 Mercedes Benz S class. The car was 35,000. Its a 76 month (plus?) loan at 9% (due to the long term, not my credit) so my payments are low, about $500 per month. But at the end of this LONG loan, I will have paid 15,000 in interest!!! The dealer told me to just SELL/trade the car within two years so that I wont be upsidedown. How do I figure out how much the car will be worth and how much is left on the loan in advance? IS that even possible? He said that finance charges are applied daily, so if i sell early, I wont owe all that interest. (?) I just want to know exactly how much time I have... and I know - it was a bad decision to begin with. I THOUGHT buying would be better than leasing, but clearly, not. ... but the car IS gorgeous!
