HELLO should i buy a mazda protege5? whyy? - im thinking about buying one that is auto and 40k miles for just about $11k. im wondering 1.) if thats a good deal? 2.) how reliable is the protege5? 3.) are they expensive to fix? 4.) i just wanted reasons why or why not, i should buy the mazda proteGe5 also wonderin in the 11k-12k price range if ne one had ne other suggestions on different cars? sorry alot of questions lol but thank you in advanced!!!

2003 Mazda Protege5 owners....? - I'm thinking of buying a 2003 Mazda Protege5 with 113,xxx miles. I'm not too sure, don't know anyone who owns one. Are they good cars? My mechanic said they last like Honda's so the miles is still good. What do you think?

Mazda3 and Mazda protege5... Help??? Advice??? - Hello, im looking into buying either a Mazda 3 (2004) or a Mazda Protege 5 (2002 or 2003). I have driven a protege5 as a sibling has owned one so I am quite familiar with them. Only big complaints are if I did buy one I would definatly replace the stereo system. The second is the wind noise, but I have a diesel now and have adjusted to all that noise and such. I have been looking at the hatchback more then the 3 sedan but am open to both. I am looking for any experiences, advice, pros and cons, gas milage especially, and any mechanical issues. Thanks for your help. P.s. (if it matters, I am in Canada).

2003 Mazda Protege 5 Fuse Question? - I recently bought a 2003 Mazda Protege5. Some reason the ONLY 12 volt power outlet in the car doesn't work now. I think it's a fuse problem. But my problem is I don't know where that exact fuse is. The owners manual doesn't specify. Pep Boys doesn't know either. Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone else fixed this problem? I never said I don't have the owners manual. The owners manual doesn't specify anything about the 12v outlet. The guy @ Pep Boys checked all related fuses. There are no other issues. radio, A/C, interior lights and windows work fine, which is weird. It doesn't look easy. The orange ring light around it which used to light up doesn't. The car had no previous modifications which would conclude it was not disassembled. The outlet itself looks and fits snug as if it were new. I checked it with a volt meter and there is no output of electricity. Please give me more help/tips. Thanks PROBLEM SOLVED! It is the 20amp yellow fuse that is located in the fuse box near the pedals. Dealer fixed it for free.

I currently drive a Dodge Durango should I sell it and get a car with better MPG? - My Dodge Durango gets average 15 miles to the gallon. I could sell it for $3000. There is a Mazda Protege5 I like for $7000 that gets 30 MPG. Would it make sense to buy the Mazda? I own the Durango with no payments. If I bought the Mazda I would need to get a loan for the $4,000.
