Cruise Control 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII? - I just bought a used 97' Lincoln Mark VIII and the only thing that seems to not work at this time is the Cruise Control. No buttons work to turn it on on the steering wheel and no dash indicators come on. All fuses have been tested; where should I go from here?

Should I buy a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII? - There is a 96 Mark VIII for sale. I heard the V-8 is excellent, powerful, and durable. They are asking 2600 for the car with 96,000 miles. They say it is in great condition. Should I go for it or are there things I should know about the Mark VIII that should give me concern? WILL IT BECOME A MONEY PIT? Thanks in advance, for your input. I have already considered the price of gas. I know it isn't a "gas sipper" but for a V-8 it gets great gas mileage. I own 2 cars already that get good gas mileage. I want to add a 3rd car. A luxury car.

If you were to buy a LINCOLN MARK, what kind would you buy? - Of all the Lincoln Mark series from 1956 to 1998 (Mark II to Mark VIII) which one would you buy to drive, either as a weekender or a daily driver? Let's assume that the Mark you choose is in excellent condition. One more thing...WHY would you choose it over the other Mark series, and which Mark series do you like the LEAST?

1997 lincoln mark viii LSC? - Does anyone know where the oil filter is on a 97 lincoln mark viii LSC? I just bought the car and it is beautiful, however i would like to change the oill and filter myself to assure the oil level. If anyone has changed the oil in this car please advise me on the best way to go about doing the project myself. I have a pretty good working knowledge of general automotive mechanics so please advise. Thanks for your help.

We are going to look at a 96 Lincoln Mark VIII tomorrow and I have a question!? - The seller said it needs a driver side air strut replacement, and from what I can tell this is not available anywhere. I looked on AutoZone and Murray's websites and had no luck! I am wondering how much does this cost and what replacement part can we buy to fix this? Can we get a regular spring strut? I don't want to get ripped off, the car is only $2000 and I don't want to have to pay something crazy to replace this!

'98 Lincoln Mark VIII randomly "dumps"all air pressure from suspension leveling system .? - My'98 Lincoln Mark VIII has an air suspension system problem. For some reason at odd times the bleed valve opens up and lets ALL the air out of the system (not just down to the high-speed cruise level). I happened to walk by it once after it had been parked about a day and heard a "whoosh" sound as all the air came out in a few seconds and the car sunk to tne ground. I took it to Ford. Result: they found no bag leak (obviously!) and most amazing, all codes and self-tests performed on the system said everything was okay!,even while the car was completely bottomed out on the ground! They tell me to strip out the system and put in springs and shocks! I don't buy it. Now, for the past few months, while I'm driving on the interstate, it deflates and the front of the car scrapes the road when I hit a bump. REALLY unsafe. Only way to get it reinflated is to pull over, shut ignition off, restart, and wait for system to pump up. Please let me know if you know what's going or had same problem.
