I bought an 08 Lincoln Mark LT, the chrome is corroding badly. ford will not warranty it. It has 3700 mi now.? - When i purchased the 08 Lincoln Mark LT, it had 35 miles on it. the tires were horribly out of balance and they kept saying it a broken belt in the pirrelli tires. but wouldnt replace them. The Chrome is coming off all over. it has buff scratches on the hood. my registration hasnt been done and its been 5 days past the 2month deadline. they claim the chrome is environmental. and the tires finally got rebalanced after 4 different places tried. Ford customer service is very lacking. I honestly regret buying a Lincoln. The truck is all ive wanted since they came out in 06. Now i want them to take it back. Do i have any options?? I have contacted ford directly because all calls for lincoln get directed to ford eventually. I contacted pirrelli directly and they said that Ford is an authorized dealer in Pirelli so they can replace the tires. Each 2 Dealerships said it is not their problem. Ford said the chrome is an environmental issue ....the truck has only 3700 mile.... not 37,000 miles. Im disgusted with the way im being treated especially after i bought a brand new vehicle in an unstable market. Now the dealer has given me close of business monday to register the vehicle myself. But i dont want to register the vehicle until i get the problem with the chrome resolved. Ford/ Lincoln is the worst dealership i have ever dealt with. I know they are american made but......its just a huge joke. the quality of everything on this vehicle is sub-standard compaired to the lincolns of the past. if this is already happening ...what do i have to look forward to when the vehicle is 1-5 yrs old ......JUNK JUNK JUNK !!! NOW >>>NOW ..... the dealership is saying that they have an obligation to the BANK to get the registration done ....THEY HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO ME ......IM THE REASON THAT VEHICLE IS SOLD IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! THE MANUFACTURER IS THE REASON THE TRUCK HAS BELOW STANDARD PARTS AND SERVICE!!! CORPORATE AND BANKING BACK SCRATCHING IS THE REASON THE CONSUMER IS LEARY OF BUYING ANYTHING ......ANYONE WANT TO BUY A 2008 LINCOLN MARK LT ?????? tHIS VEHICLE WILL SIT UNREGISTERED UNTIL FORD DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS !!! THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO CALL FORD TO HAVE A REP COME CHECK OUT THE VEHICLE .....SHE ONLY HAS OLBIGATION TO THE BANK!!! WTF....BMW HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AROUND

Bought new vehicle. Now, don't have a job, what to do? - 5 months ago, I bought a new Lincoln Mark LT pickup. I got a good deal at the time after moving out of a lease into a new pickup. Well, to make a long story short, I didn't have a trade in on it, so I financed 90% of the value with the other 10% being rebates and the like. Got my financing thru Ford Financial. Anyway, since then, I have lost my job, and obviously, a $680 payment isn't a good thing to have, when I have to also make house payments and utilities and to put food on the table. My wife was a stay-at home mother, so my income was the only income. As of right now, I am leaning towards letting them take it back, but I don't want to have a repo on my credit. The vehicle is VERY upside down right now, so to sell it really isn't an option. Contacted the company about it, but guess what, they don't want to do anything. Thought maybe they would be willing to move a few months payments to the back of the loan by reworking it. I have been with Ford Financial for 7 years, thru 2- 36 month leases. Never once missed a payment, much less was even close to late on one. Money really wasn't an issue before. My savings will be gone at current rate in 2 months, and I don't want to eat thru it with car payments if I don't have too. Any ideas out there?

Ford lhas been lately referred to a not so good car brand...? - I am thinking of buying a pick up soon however, I don't find the right one for me. I want luxury but something affordable. I saw a Ford but since Ford has bad popularity lately I opted for Lincoln Mark LT. On the other hand, I saw the Toyota Tundra Limited edition and even though it has luxury it doesn't quite fit into my ideal pick up. I loved Lincoln truck once I saw it but I want to know if its a good brand and if its worth the price.

Which SUV or truck should I buy? - I'm looking to buy a new vehicle. I want alot of cargo room and initially wanted a truck. However I want luxuries that aren't usually available in trucks. If I get an SUV I want something AWD and has rubber floor in the cargo area. I was thinking Lincoln Mark LT or Explorer sports track for trucks. Hummer H3 or Toyota Fj cruiser for an SUV. Also prolly buying used, one or two years old. Not looking to spend or 29k. Any suggestions? Also I want bucket seats PS only full sized vehicles, no mid sized trucks, Im very tall and need lots of head and leg room

What type of truck should I get? - I am trying to decide between a 2007 Lincoln Mark Lt, fully loaded, 15k miles,and a 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid, fully loaded, 12k miles. The truck is going to cost me $28,000 and the hybrid is going to cost me $20,000. I am paying cash, which I've had to work for about 4 years to earn. I am a college student, so I think the hybrid will benefit me in terms of gas, insurance, and practical use. On the other hand, for just $8,000 more, the truck is much more luxurious and just seems a bit more attractive. Is there a way I can justify purchasing the truck? What can I use the truck for (ie: hauling) so that it will pay for itself? Should I just buy the hybrid?
