What are the pros/cons of buying a new '08 Lincoln MKX over an '09 model? Overall, is it a good/bad idea?

I posted this over on the Lincoln board, and got NO responses, so I'll try on this forum, and see if my luck is better...
Are There Any Substantive Differences Between An '08 and '09 Lincoln MKX? If So, What Are They?
It is a real buyers' market out there, and I'm looking to see if I can take advantage of dealers who need to sell off inventory before the end of the year. I really WANT to try to deal for an '09 model if I can, but if I can get a SUBSTANTIALLY better deal on an '08, I'll be tempted to go in that direction. As far as I know, the ONLY discernible difference between them is an improvement in the side view mirror. Is it THAT much of a difference? Is there a big "blind spot" problem on the '08's that's been corrected with this new mirror?
Any other related tips, suggestions, advice or comments on buying the '08 model over an '09 will be appreciated as well.
