Should I buy a Jeep Compass or a Dodge Calibre? - I plan to buy an affordable car. I've narrowed my choice to a Jeep Compass 2007 or a Dodge Calibre 2007. Which is a better buy for the money? What is a reasonable discount to ask for? What strategy should I use to negotiate for a discount? Or, would I have more luck asking for free-bees? im interested in buying a jeep compass.... any compass owners out there? pros and cons? ? - i am very interested in buying a jeep compass soon. however i've only owned one american car and it was a ford and it was shit. how is jeep's reliability? my girlfriend is pregnant, so i am looking for a bigger car but i dont want to pay more than 21,000 and with the compass's starting at 18,000 i can get it for my price range. so any compass or jeep owners... wats your thoughts on the compas? pros and cons? thank you so much

2009 Jeep Compass - sometimes headlights stay on for about 90 seconds after I lock the doors? - I just bought a 2009 Jeep Compass - I do not have the EVIC option. Twice, the headlights stayed on for about 90 seconds after I lock the doors. I have had the car for a week and a half. I have read the owner's manual - only mentions changing the option if you have EVIC. Also - it has only happened twice. I would understand if it happened all the time, but only twice?

Will a Jeep Compass 4x4 survive an Alaskan winter in Fairbanks Alaska? - Considering buying a Jeep Compass, I currently have a Dodge Neon ACR. The compass seems to be the best 4x4 around for my price range 18k - 21k... but with winters with an average -15 F I am wondering if I will have to get the car outfitted with some sort of winterized package or something? I am currently in Las Vegas, and I move in 3 months... Should I buy the car here, in Alaska, or back 'home' in texas? If you buy a car in another state do you still have to buy the license in that state and then again when you take the car to your destination state? Never done this before :( Cars in Alaska seem to be 3 to 4k more expencive on the dealers websites... I have free transportation for one vehicle to Alaska (Military), so Im not worried about any sort of expense of getting the car up there.
