HELLO I am thinking of buying a Hyundai excel today,? - the car is a 98 manual, 3 door, its done 144 klms, the interior is in showroom condtion, the body is almost perfect, no dings, just a few minor scrates, CD player, air con, new tyres, 12 months rego, the owner wants $3,200 ono.what do you think, is that a good deal, I live in N.S.W. Aust.

How to fill transmission fluid on 1988 Hyundai Excel? - I bought an '88 Excel as an extra car to run errands with. The car needs more transmission fluid in it. I can't for the life of me find the dipstick or the filler. Does anyone have any information on this? Location? Diagram? Anything? The car is actually in great shape and runs excellent except for this problem. We can't drive it anymore if it's dry on transmission fluid or we'll ruin the transmission. Please help.

where are the anchor points for baby car seats in hyundai excel 98model? - Hubby & I just bought a 98 excel hatch as a runabout 2nd car from a private seller. We need to install a baby seat, but can't find any visible anchor points on the back seat and can't find anything in the manual. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do?

What car speakers do I need to buy for my hyundai excel? - I live in Australia and I'm just lookin for some speakers for my little hyundai excel 97 model. I don't want big doof doof speakers I just want some that dont crackle when I listen to cd's and I put them past volume number 24 haha! Please help, i'm a girl and have no idea about this stuff. I asked a man at wow sight and sound the other week and I forgot what he said but he told me the type I need and i'm pretty sure there was a 5 in there somewhere. 6.5" or something? argh help!! I bought this Hyundai Excel 92, but one of the trunk's torsion bar is not working.? - One of the trunk's torsion bar, the ones that keeps the lid open, is not working. It's just sitting there making no pressure at all. I can even remove it with my bare hands while the other is impossible to move. Is there a way to twist it, using any home tool, to put it right? To make it hold the lid up in place? Instructions on how to do it (maybe an online tutorial -pictures / video) will be highly appreciated. Thanks for your responses so far. The former propietor told me that the torsion bar broke and he bought a replacement that never installed correctly. The brackets are fine. It's just not as easy to twist it with a home tool. This darn thing has too much potencial energy stored ;-) And to make things worse the brackets are in such a tight place that is almost impossible to get the twisted bar in place with the tool in the middle (if I ever get to that part). I wonder what kind of tool could get this done. Thanks again for your time.

Problem with my Hyundai Excel again? - Hi all, I'm having difficulties starting the engine, looks like this thingy works well in cool/ cold weather, but when it comes to summer (or after my car exposed long enuff under the sun, the engine simply wouldnt start! Here is the situation: My car is a Hyundai Excel 95 manual. When I insert the key and try to start the engine, I heard a very little sorta "dick" sound at the front without anything else. This is a 2nd car I bought 2 years ago and had the battery (brand new) installed at the same time. In fact this problem appeared 2-3 months right after the replacement so I dun think its bcoz the battery gone flat. What would be the other possible reasons? Also just found out from the receipt given by previous owner 2 years ago :P, that instead of manual transmission fluid, he actually replaced it with the one for auto cars... Would it be a problem? Long question.... Thanks for ur help
