I am interested in buying a Geo Metro.? - I am interested in buying a Geo Metro because of the amazing gas mileage. I cant seem to find one for a low enough price. I am on a tight budget since moving. I have found one for $1500 BUT it has 145K miles on it. Now I really only need this car for a year and will buy a new one then. Can anyone out there tell me what the life is of a Geo Metro? How many miles should I expect to get from this before it dies? It looks new! Its had lots of upgrades too..so cosmetics are great, just not sure about the risk of buying a Metro with that many miles on it already....Please tell me how many miles you got from yours before it retired and the mpg you got..thanks :-) This car is mainly for work purposes only. I am starting a cleaning business so will have to do a lot of driving. Thus the need for a good mpg.

buying a geo metro question? - should I buy a '93 geo metro xfi (xfi is preferred d/t better fuel efficiency), NO rust, undercoated recently, clean condition...for 3200.00. Mileage 51,000. light blue, hubcaps. New front tires. Had been sitting unused for a while, now a shop fixed it up. But I have to travel 90 miles each way to get it. OR a '96 plain metro, airbags, CD player which is "very good", 42000 miles, "a little rust", no hubcaps. Good condition. Not attractive green/blue metallic color. 3500.00 Also, can this "little rust" be halted? Can I still undercoat it at this point? How much is that? Thanks!! What do you think? I am at a loss and have to decide by morning

How cold is the air conditioner in Geo Trackers? - Recently bought a Geo Tracker, but the air conditioner only cools fairly in hot climates. Got it checked and everything was OK. Do this cars are supplied with mediocre air conditioners from factory? Maybe the thin convertible top allows heat from the sun to pass to the passenger area?

How much does it cost to repair car window and door handle on GEO Tracker? - I am thinking about buying a 1995 GEO Tracker for sale by the owner and am hoping to trim a few hundred off the $1500 sale price. On my initial walkaround, the only faults I noticed were that the driver side inside door handle doesn't work (you have to reach out and open it from the outside) and the windows can't roll up all the way. I haven't done a test drive yet, but can anyone tell me how much it might cost just to repair the inside door handle and both windows so they roll up and down? Are these repairs I (a novice) can do myself with the proper time, parts and instructions? Also, the window handle on the passenger side is missing the top piece--can that be easily and cheaply fixed or replaced?
