HELLO I want to buy a late 90's to early 2000 GMC sonoma. What do sonoma owners out there think about their trucks? - I'd like to know if there are any specific problems related to these vehicles. What is the newest model of sonoma available? Please just share your stories and let me know if you would reoccomend that I buy a sonoma or if I should find another truck.

my question is i just bought a 1991 gmc sonoma 4x4 ext. cab auto v6 --is there suppose to be 2 diaframs onthis - heres my why im ask up on fender is one diafram or vacuum actuator connected to front axle ---the second one is hook up under the battery tray diafram to nothing its un hooked what does it hook to? it is not cruise control there is 2 iaframs on my truck 1 is hooked to fener it runs to front axle th 2 is under battery tray it is hooked to notthing cable is short there is plate with 3 screw holes where does this hook to?

Can I tow a GMC Sonoma with a Ford Expedition? - We are moving across the Country and was wondering if it would be a safe option to consider. Would be willing to put money into tow bar and hitch, if it is possible. Would it be difficult to do? Expo has a 5.4 L V-8. What items would I consider buying/installing in order to safely Tow the Sonoma?

My 4x4 in 1998 Gmc Sonoma wont engage? - I have a new transfer case in my 98 Gmc sonoma i bought it with the new one in, and well my 4x4 isnt engaging in the front axel like the drive shaft locks and i think spins but the differentials dont spin whats wrong? I think its one of the sellenoid switches in the axel are messed up! a little help will be nice

What is a good V8 to swap for my 92 gmc sonoma? - i don't want anything too big and im hoping to find something that will mate with my transmission. i have no problem buying an adapter plate but a new transmission is a little too rich for my blood. or should i just upgrade the 2.8 it has with a cam, intake manifold, chip etc? pros an cons any suggestions would be appreciated even if its a ford or other brand engine.

2003 GMC Sonoma SLS Extended Cab....REAR-AXLE PROBLEMS...NEED HELP!!!? - Ok...here is my problem. I just bought a 2003 GMC Sonoma SLS Extended Cab from a certified dealer at the beginning of August. There was zero problems with this truck, and it ran beautifully. Well, lately, I have noticed a popping/thumping noise when I accelerate and decelerate. I didn't think too much of it at the time, and decided to go get the entire undercarriage looked at. The tires were fine, the brakes were checked, and even the drive-train was oiled again. But, here in the past 2 weeks, the popping/thumping has gotten worse, and it gets worse as I accelerate, and it shakes the entire vehicle and the noise can be heard pretty clearly from outside of the truck as well. I have been told that it could possibly be the U-Joints, and then again I have been told that it could possibly be that the oil in the rear-axle needs to be replaced, and I have also been told that the entire rear-axle may need to be replaced/re-built. Can anybody tell me what is going on here? And, another question. I have been notified that GM puts out a 100K drive-train warranty on all of their models. If that is true, does this truck have a GM warranty at all? It only has 72K miles on it right now. Can anybody tell me about this as well? Thanks!
