Should I buy a '96 GMC Safari van as a reliable family vehicle? - We're looking at the fine with a cool interior and the wife seems to be excited about it. 98 GMC Safari RWD Acceleration Problem? - I just bought a 98 GMC Safari and on my first highway drive I noticed that when i got to almost 100km's the engine became very sluggish, a deep hum/vibration was heard and it was really hard to get it to go any faster. It has also used an amazing amount of fuel for that one trip. I am going to be towing a small utility trailer with it and need to get this problem sorted out! I had hoped that a V6 would have more power, but it just does not want to go past 100kms/hr.
