As an expat living in Holland, I would really like to buy a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. How would I do it? - Interested in cost, process, etc. Not sure if I can even get this car due to limited quantities, but I really want to have it to drive on the autobahn. How much for the car, how much for shipping, and who handles these things?

Why would anybody buy a new Ford Shelby GT500? - Even though it has history and it is the cheapest car with 500bhp, it is the worst form of Mustang. What Shelby did was they took the standard Ford Mustang GT and took the engine out and put the engine from a Ford GT, which is all great. But the one thing that is a big turn off from the car is that they took the suspension and the brakes from the classic GT500 and put it into the new one, which is technically the worst decision in car history. i mean Ford is like "okay, we'll build a new GT500 with a great engine so we can fix the mistakes the classic made but we'll put the same suspension so it'll make the same mistakes." its rubbish. and when Ford was asked why they put the old suspension, they said it would add 10,000 dollars to the final price of the car. its such an idiotic move by Ford/Shelby. If I was gonna spend 50,000 dollars on a car, i would definitely spend an extra 10,000 on the suspension. so in conclusion, consumers step away from the GT500 and go for the standard Mustang GT or go with the classic one instead. But if you really want a new tuned mustang, i would go for the Roushe Mustang which has modern suspension and modern brakes. and the Roushe is about 60 grand which is BMW M3 money. to DAD: not quite. its pointless to make an upgrade to a car if your gonna leave it the sameway as it was. its like Microsoft making Windows Vista with the same security problems as Windows XP....its just not right. to YMCPA: not quite as well, it wasn't Jeremy Clarkson who said it, it was Richard Hammond as well. so what are you gonna do? I got it from research and a show called Top Gear. and no i am not a racer, im just a student driving a Mitsubishi Eclipse

I was looking to buy a '66 or '67 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, and with out a big price tag.? - In other words i kinda want a real fixer-uper for like $5,000. or so, I want to get in to collecting and so does my husband this is the kind he wants, but the fixed ones price tag is crazy high. We want to do all the work our selves.

What's the (real) difference between the GT, GT500, Shelby, Roush, Cobra and Saleen? Kits? Ford models? - This was asked already but I'm a confused because a few people answered who sounded informed but gave different information. So: One guy says the Roush and the Saleen are kits. Another guy says the GT, Shelby, and Cobra are all Ford models, the Roush and the Saleen are customized by outside companies. Another guy says that the Shelby, Roush, and Saleen are outside companies that buy and rebuild Mustangs into the perspective cars with Ford's permission, and even Ford dealers need special licenses to sell those cars. (so... you're not buying a Ford Mustang, you're buying a Shelby, or a Roush, etc?) So anyone know which is which? Thanks!

Pontiac G8 GXP VS. FORD SHELBY GT500? - Alright im a big fan of muscle cars....and im about to buy the one i want..when i was teenager i always wanted the gt500 for its style and beauty hauling a supercharger....BUT NOW im kinda leaning towards a Pontiac...i wanted the GTO at first but its closed down...so i was wondering if i buy a Pontiac G8 GXP COULD I ADD A SUPERCHARGER TO IT??? to boost it HP form 415 to MORE?!?!?!?!?! i mean is can i add a supercharger to it?? with out fucking it up??????
