Buying a 2001 Ford Escape XLT, want to update the outside and inside a little bit, what can I do? - This is my first car and just bought it yesterday. It was an awesome price with low mileage so I went after this one instead of the more updated 05 which I liked better but oh well. What are some little things that I can do to update the look both inside and outside? I am buying the xenon headlights, maybe a grille guard and I'm not sure what else. Any ideas?

Considering buying the new Ford Escape or Mazda Tribute. Which is better? - I know the Tribute and Escape are the same; sister vehicles. I thought maybe the Mazda would be more reliable..being a Mazda. I had a Mazda Precidia lasted me 12 years. OTOH the Escape is cheaper and gives more options for less.

Also how to charge freon? - I just bought a 2001 ford escape, can you tell me how to put the car into 4 wheel drive correctly? Also the air conditioning is not cold, how can I charge the freon myself? I was looking for a users manual online and cannot find it.

When will 2009 Ford Escape Hybrids be available to buy? - I really would like to buy a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid, but would like to wait to the 2009 come out. If i like the 2009 slot better i can get that, or if i decide to stick with the 08 they would then be considered a year old model and become cheaper.
