Ford Escape Hybrid Questions & Answers from Yahoo! Answers
HELLO Any opinons on the Ford Escape hybrid from people who drive it? - I really want to buy the Ford Escape Hybrid in the fall when I finally give up on my gas-guzzling Jeep. I was just looking for real opinions from people who drive it. Is it what you expected? What could be better? Thanks!

If the Ford Escape Hybrid had a Plug-In option, it could go 100 miles per gallon. Would you buy one with this? - The Ford Escape has cousins in the Mercury Mariner and Mazda Tribute, which also will have 2008 hybrid versions. The Front Wheel Drive version gets the best gas mileage (as much as 37 miles/gallon), compared to the All Wheel Drive version. I have been anticipating buying a Front Wheel Drive, but was holding off for a Plug-In version, which I thought would come out in 2008. Apparently, Ford still doesn't get it, and is slow to the market on this. The only way to currently get a Plug-in Escape Hybrid is to buy $10,000 after market installation from a 3rd party, which eliminates any savings and voids the warranty. I have emailed Ford to let them know that I will not buy a new Ford vehicle of any kind until this hybrid is available in a plug-in version, and I suggest you do the same. We could achieve 100 miles per gallon in these SUVs, if your driving profile is primarily city driving at 25 mph. I could go 6 of 7 days per week on electric alone, if I could plug it in.

Opinions on the new Ford Escape Hybrid?? - We are thinking of buying a Ford Escape Hybrid and just wondering what you think of it. It seems like a a good car, gets excellent mpg (which is a plus in an SUV), and is all together a very enviromentally car. Just lookin for some oppinions on the car though, any bad things? Good things? Thanx!

Anyone who has a Ford Escape Hybrid, problems? storage? - I'm looking to buy a Ford Escape Hybrid some time in the future. If you own one, can you tell me how you like it for storage, gas mileage, how it runs in general?

Should my husband and sell back our 2005 Ford escape for a 2008 Ford escape Hybrid? - We bought a 2005 ford escape from Rich ford about two months ago and think it seems to be a better deal buying a brand new vehicle for maybe a few thousand more with a better warranty and better gas mileage. We live in Sandia PArk so we need something that is going to last us for a long time. We figure why put so much money into a used car that has 35 thousand miles on it when we could buy something NEW. We talked to the dealer down 4 thousand on the used I am sure we can talk them down at least 5 thousand for the hybrid especially if we a re putting cash down. Anyone's knowledge can help.... any dealers out there??? If you can get us a cheaper and better deal we will buy from you,HAHAHA!

When will 2009 Ford Escape Hybrids be available to buy? - I really would like to buy a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid, but would like to wait to the 2009 come out. If i like the 2009 slot better i can get that, or if i decide to stick with the 08 they would then be considered a year old model and become cheaper.

Is it worth buying a hybrid car/SUV like the Ford Escape if it cost thousands to buy over regular vehicle? - I heard that the Escape runs aboot 5-6k more than the regular Escape. This seems like a lot of money to save a few pennies at the pump. Also, are their any other American made car or truck hybrids that are worth looking at, and how does this relate to the cost differentials? Please advise.

Is the Ford Escape Hybrid available in Australia? - If not, why the fu*ck is this so? I should be able to choose to buy a hybrid car or not, I am sick to death of paying so much for petrol and I want a hybrid car dammit.

Should I buy a Nissan Murano or a Ford Escape Hybrid? - I have narrowed it down to these two, and for the models I am looking at, the pricing is about the same. Murano is a much nicer/fancier car with a sweet interior and more bells and whistles. The Escape is the length/shape I prefer, gets great gas mileage, and offers a super financing deal (0% APR for 5 years, cash back, tax credit for hybrid). They both drive well. Downsides: The Murano is kinda long for me, b/c I have to parallel park often; The interior of the Escape is pretty lame, not what you'd expect from a $30k car. Thoughts?? I need to decide before the July 4th specials end. Added comments: The additional resale value of the Murano would probably be off-set by the interest I would be paying on the car loan over the next 5 years (Ford is 0% APR). Fords are cheaper to repair, but they will not last as long.

Is Buying a Hybrid Car worth the extra 5000 dollars.? - I was planning to buy a Ford Escape Hybrid and I was still debating if its worth to shell out extra 5000 dollars for getting the Hybrid option.. I dont remember the article where I read that when the Gas prices touch 9 dollar/Gallon then its worth buying a Hybrid.
