HELLO Just bought a 92 Dodge 350 Ram Van and I have having trouble figuring out what it exactly is!? - Ok, bought a 92 Dodge Ram Van, is is super long, so what I am wondering is, does that make it a Ram Van wagon? How do I tell if my van is heavy duty (HD)? It says that is has a heavy duty transmission. I am just trying to get the right tires on it. One website tells me that it takes 225/75 R16, and that is the size it has on it. Another place tells me to get 235/85 R16. If you have any insight in this let me know! It has a 360 5.9L engine if that helps at all. And I also need to know is, will I be able to use the same rims even if I get 235/85 R16. I have 8 lug tires.

92 Dodge Ram Van 350 Troubles with tires or something?Transmission? Lifters? - Ok, here is the deal. I bought a 92 Dodge Ram 350 van. It is a 1 ton. It is extra long. I bought it to haul carpet in. The tires that came on it were 225/75/r16. They are 8 lug rims. These tires did not look right for the van considering we needed to haul heavy loads in the van. We ended up going with a little bigger tire, 245/75r16. We bought a set from a guy and the tires came off of a 95 Dodge Truck. The tires fit on just fine except when my husband drove it to the store, there was like this ping, ping, and it only did it when the tires were moving. Is there anything say mechanically that could be causing this noise? Maybe with my transmission???? Any help will be greatly appreciated!. Any help The van handled better, new tires.

92 Dodge Ram van 350 stalling at stop light when getting of the interstate.? - The van runs fairly well until I take it off of the interstate. It wants to die when I have to bring it to a complete stop. It will stall and then start right back up. It is almost like the idle is too low? It is a 360 v8 5.9L with about 110,000 miles on it. I recently bought it and changed the oil and the filter, and the air filter. Any help would be great!

Will a turbo 350 transmission fit in a 97 dodge ram 1500? - My transmission went out and im looking to buy a new tranny that isnt going to go out like my dodge transmission has twice. I heard a turbo 350 will fit, just the bolts won't match up. Do i need to get an adapter to make it work or will it match up. thanks its an old truck and dodge transmissions are shitty. either answer the question or go fuck yourself

Buying used Dodge truck. What matters most? Mileage? Maintenance records? Number of owners? Help!? - At what point do I stop looking for a "better deal"? Found a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, ext cab, tow pkg, bed cover, loaded, one owner, all maintenance records, fanatically maintained, recent new tranny, many items replaced, looks NEW in/out... 167k miles, $4250 (high side of average book value). Found another, 1998, lower miles, more owners (3), no real maintenance history/knowledge, $3700.00. Last week still another, 180k miles, 1994, $350.00 This has been going on for weeks. Prices seem all over the map around here. What's the biggest thing to look at? Is the one owner the winner? Or do you go for lower mileage? I'm going crazy trying to decide. All test drive fine, but when I get real serious I'll pay 4 a mechanic to look it over & run diagnostics & ?? I obviously can't do that w/every truck in the running! $4400 is all I've got and it has to be well spent... I cannot afford major repairs soon after purchase. I need reliability above all else. Thoughts? Thanks Ugh.. obviously "350.00" should have been $3500.00" Doh! I don't have any mechnically inclined friend to go along. Dad's dead, brother is in prison, and the only other men I know are absolutely cluless about cars.

can I legally make a new car dealership? - take back a vehicle they sold my husband and have them give back the vehicle he traded them? My husband who I have his power of attorney over,,, after having a aneurysm last year and then 2 stokes, the brain damage affected him mentally,,, his thinking and reasoning are not that of the average 60 yr old man. He is on disability. He on the spur of the moment took our 2004 dodge 350 RAM diesel crewcab 4x4 dull wheel truck to a new car dealer and saw a 2004 Ford F-250 diesel extended 4x4 single cab truck. When he walked in there he had a truck worth alot more then the one he ended up with,,, plus he had no payments on the dodge because the disability insurance when we bought the truck new picked up (7,000 owed) after he had the aneurysm. What he got was their truck plus he owed 12,000 more. Also that week the turbo went out on it and they knew that it was bad without telling him. What should I do and how do I start to do anything? How much should a 10" or 16" lift cost on a Truck? - Im getting my liscense soon, and I was thinking of either a Ford F-150, or F-350 on 16" lift. but I dont know what size wheels to go with either. also I might buy a Dodge Ram 1500 or 2500 on a 10" lift, but yet again dont know how big i should get the wheels, and which one is better for On-Road AND Off-Road?

Various makes and models need pressure testing of the cooling system and a block test.? - 1997-2000 Crn. Vic, 1993 T-bird, 1989-1994 Dodge Ram 250-350 Vans and 1988 Cutlass Calais, 1994 Blazer all either leak antifreeze or don't pump water through top hose to thermostat or overheat or smoking (white). Got leaks that I don't see where they originate. Can I use a dye and will that harm my vehicles? What is needed to test? Can I buy products to do myself ? How do you do it? How do I know its a lost cause? Can't afford to go to shops for diagnostic test @ $85 per vehicle. Helllllppp me Please... I need to know if its the heads,water pump or what? They're all about the $$$$$$ here and I don't have any so I would like to try to fix myself, if possible. I like your advice Bogey. Thanks... Don't have a car lot but do have 9 kids and 8 drive. After all these years of DIY, they don't know a darn thing about cars. Go figure...Any more suggestions,Please let me know. Can't sell what don't run or leaks by me. Can't afford to spend a few thousand for something newer either. Gotta stay with what we have until we win lottery. LOL
