how much should i buy a 1987 dodge daytona for? - it has a blow head gasket. and they are asking 600 for it do you think i would be able to haggle it a little lower.? to about 400 maybee? and still be reasonable? its a turbo 2.2 5 speed they said "no water in the oil and no oil in the water." no sure of meaning but its red and the bottom end was rebuilt but the condition is old looking. red rusty lookingish

Does anyone know where I can get aftermarket auxiliary taillights for my 1990 Dodge Daytona? - I have a 1990 Dodge Daytona and the turnsignals are quirky. I want to hook up an auxillary set, but I want to mount them in the space between the top of the hatch door and spoiler. Has anyone heard of a place that can make these or anyone know where I can buy them?

Does anyone know if parts off a 1989 dodge daytona would be compatible on a 1991 dodge daytona? - i recently bought a 91 dodge daytona(base model not ES) and i was just wondering what other years of the that model wolud work for parts interchanging. the main parts that i'm want to put on the car is rear window louvres, ground effects (off an es model), and the rear spoiler(off an es model) I was able to find a 1989 dodge daytona shelby at a local auto salvage yard which has the parts im looking for, but i dont want to get them if they do not work on the 1991 model. Is there a way to get the starter out of my 91' Dodge Daytona Shelby without pulling the motor? - I have a 1991 Dodge Daytona Shelby, 2.5 Turbo, 5-speed, with all of the bells and whistles. The car has 225,000 miles on it, and now the starter has gone kaputski. I brought the car to a mechanic friend of mine who got the car up on the lift and attempted to remove the starter. After a day of trying, he was unsuccessful at removing it, lost patience and advised me to junk the car. I have owned the car since '95 and I really love the Daytona too much to scrap it, and I have even bought some parts to preserve and restore it. The quarters are in need of patching, but I had the rockers, lower firewall, and front floors all repaired and they are in good shape. The interior is mint also. I would get someone to pull the motor, but then while it was out I would want to replace the clutch and freshen up the motor which would get more and more expensive. Is there a proceedure for removing the starters on these cars without pulling the motor out? Thank you.

What kind of parts would be useful to take from an '87 dodge daytona and put in an '89? - I had an '87 Dodge Daytona that I bought a couple of years ago and to make a long, sad story short the top part of the engine was put back together wrong so it caught fire and died but I got to it in time with the hose so all of the parts (except for the engine of course) survived. I bought an '89 Dodge Daytona recently and I was wondering what kind of parts would be useful to pull out of the old car since they are pretty much the same. I'm already taking the window louvers, tires, alternator, and air compressor out because they are things I know I'll need. But I don't know what else is handy to have that will save me a lot of money in the future when it goes out on my '89.
