HELLO Am I the only one that regrets buying a Daewoo, considering parts are nearly impossible to get? - I have a 2003 Daewoo Nubira, bought new. Naturally the warranty ended 2 months ago, and i find myself with a slew of problems. Took it in for some new tires found out the arm(?) for wheel with some bushings is worn out and needs to be replaced. Both front tires. This will cost me nearly $400 in repairs, not including alignment. Now here is the catch, it has been like this for some time (according to repair shop)Daewoo parts are hard to come by and usually take a good 2-3 months to get. I did not believe him and called Chevy dealership where i purchased vehicle and 2 other repair shops. Both told me the same thing. I want to know other peoples views on this vehicle and if they are running into same problem. I am thinking of just getting rid of it before i have more problems. Any one ?

I am looking at buying a '99 Daewoo Nubira Cheap but one of the valves is blocked ..Is it worth the buy? $$$ - The car has a blocked valve so I'm told, I was wondering if anyone had an idear on how much we would be looking at to fix? I know this is not a small problem but the car is in perfect condition otherwise and extremely cheap, Would it be worth fixing or to much trouble??? Thanks

Recommendations on buying a Daewoo Espero CD? - Am thinking of buying one of these in the next couple of days. As it's my first car, I'm looking for something on the cheap side, but still reliable. Someone recommended I try one of these but as everyone seems to have a different opinion, I'm now really confused. I must admit I know nothing about cars. I've seen one of these in the paper for $4999. It's a 1996 cd version and only done 66,000 kms. Has anyone had any experience driving daewoo's. Any problems with them? Am I wasting my time looking at them? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Buying a 1998 Daewoo Lanos- Australia? - im in need of buying my first car and it has come down to crunch time. my only choice is between a 1998 Hyundai excel (148,000km) for $3100 and a 1998 daewoo lanos (60,000km) for $4800. i can afford either one, and i really prefer the appearance and condition of the daewoo but i am constantly being told about how Daewoo became bankrupted in australia and that it will struggle to get the car fixed if anything goes wrong. is this true or will a mechanic be able to fix it? and are there more con's than pro's? thanks for your response!
