HELLO 84' chrysler new yorker? - Me and my boyfriend are about to buy a 84' chrysler new yorker and we seem to cant find an Air Intake hose for the front of the car inside.We live in bartlesville,oklahoma and was wondering where we could find one? even called a couple salvage yards that didnt have it

1994 Chrysler New Yorker cuts off & engine light cuts on, what could be wrong? - I just bought a 1994 Chrysler New Yorker from the auction yesterday morning, the dealer told me there wasn't anything wrong with it except the brakes and a minor oil leak. The car is quiet and drives smoothly, I know this because I rode around in it all day yesterday. I drove it tonight for the first time today about 10 minutes away .. when I get ready to leave to come back home I turn the car on and it cuts off while in park. I turned it right back on and headed about 5 minutes and it cuts off again but this time the check engine light comes on. It still drove and sounded the same though, so what could possibly be the reason why this is happening? And should I avoid driving it until it is fixed?

reliability of chrysler new yorker 1993 ? - hi I have to buy a used car, quite old as I don't have that much money to spend, and I would like an american one. I see a chrysler new-yorker year 1993 with 3.3 V6. It doesn't come with the service history, but has had a new muffler, and doesn't need timing belt to be changed, as it is a chain and not a belt. the price is 900$. But what I would like to know is if the model is known to have particular problem. Or is it known to be a particular dependable car ? I know that the 90's are not the best decade for the US car reliability ... What should I pay attention to, specifically to this model and year ? Please, if you own or owned this type of Chrysler, let me know what you think about it. thx jb tnak you for your answers ! another question is about the fuel injection technology .... Do you know guys if it was carburators, or electronic injection ? Some friends of mine told me about a mix of the 2 technologies, used by american manufacturers in the late 80's / early 90's. I was wondering if this model of Chrysler, with the 3.3 V6 had this technology (which is not reliable, according to what I've been told). Some website say that the engine is FFS( Feedback Fuel System), but I don't really know what that means ! can you help me again on this one ? thank you !!

I want to replace the gauges on my 1996 new yorker the speed odometer and such, how? What to buy? - Like are there any measurements requirements or anything like that? or what should I buy? Anyone know how to install it or is it just plug in and it'll work? The gauges I tink they stick just a little like the speed odometer will hesitate then jump up, it's nothing with the wiring I'm positive of that just need new gauges I think, please help. It's a 1996 Chrysler New Yorker. And could you install it by yourself or do you need professional help?

How do I know if my '91 New Yorker has an Infinity Audio System? - I have a 1991 Chrysler New Yorker, 5th Avenue edition. I wanted to upgrade to a better stereo, as mine only has a tape player and that's really getting old. When I went on crutchfield's website to find what'd fit, they asked if I had an Infinity system or not. I don't know. It's not on the headunit or anything... I bought the car used years ago and have no idea if it has that or not. What can I check for?

1987 Chrysler New Yorker ... paint job? - My boyfriend just bought me this car yesterday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/10570099@N02/919528105/ A 1987 Chrysler New Yorker with a turbo. Only that isn't the actual picture of mine, mine is in just as good of condition but it's flat dark grey with a lighter grey Cordova top. (I think that's what it's called, the back portion vinyl top) The seats are grey leather and the interior is all grey with some wood-looking finishes. I don't like the paint color at all. I want to get it painted but I can't really think what color to get it done. I was kinda thinking a dark, metallic forest green but I still haven't made up my mind. What do you think? I would also want to change the color of the vinyl top ... can they do that? Would they have to replace it or could they stain it a darker color? I would eventually want to change the colors of the interior ... what should I change it to? The seats, dash, carpet, roof etc, etc. How much would something like that cost? I don't want anything too extravagent. This car is worth it to me, it's in such good condition. Thanks!

Help!! Fuel leak on 95 chrysler new yorker? - I am trying to find out why my 95 chrysler new yorker is leaking fuel, it is leaking near the injectors on the passenger side.. When I bought the car the previous owner said that It had a fuel leak but had it fixed. he provided receipts from the mechanic, however it was still leaking so I took it back to the mechanic who preformed the repairs and he told me that he has bought the o ring set from the dealer, he knows he installed them correctly, so mabey its the injectors. well I came home and took the cover off and could see it leaking from the second one back. I went and bought the new injector, replaced it and now its leaking worse. It looks like the hole that the injector sits in is fairly large and would need a seal of some sort to stop it from leaking... I called every part store but theres not a seal available. It had some sort of rubbery crap peeling off, it looked like silicone on the old injector but if I tried to put that back on it would fall in the hole the injector sat in By the way, now its leaking from all three injectors.

Lost my only key to my car, need a replacement, where do I buy a new one? How much is it about? - I know, this sounds really stupid but I lost the only key to my car, where can I get someone to make a new one? How does that work, do they have to come and like make a cast mold thing with the ignition or just need some serial numbers or something like that? I just bought the car and drove it home, I kept the key in my pocket and had to go to practice and I think it fell out of my pocket during practice and no one has found it I think the lawn mower ground it up so how much does it cost and where should I call? I bought it from a private party not like a dealer or anything it's a Chrysler New Yorker 1996, thanks so much.
