My 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3L won't start.? - I recently blew out the rear transmission, and had that fixed at the shop. A few days after, I was unable to start it. I bought a new battery, and the truck worked fine for about two days. Now when I turn the ignition, I have no power, no lights turn on. Nothing. When I jump it from another car, the lights turn on, it turns over, but once I take off the jumper cables, the truck dies. I'm having a hard time believing this would be a starter problem. Let me know what you think

I don't have a manual because the original owner did not give me one and I really don't feel like spending $87 to buy one right now.

99 Chevy Silverado. Problems starting up....and battery light.? - I just bought a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LS Ext Cab Short Bed V8 5.3 L pickup truck. I got a crazy good deal on it, even if it needed a new engine I got an amazing deal. It runs perfect, everything works right. But, when I start it, it turns over and everything, it wants to start, but it won't, so I stop, try again, and it fires right up, everytime. I know it's not the battery, and not the starter, because it's turning over, and it's turning fast, like it's supposed to. What could this be? Also, the battery light is ALWAYS on. Somebody told me it might be an ignition switch or the instrument panel needs to be replaced. Does anybody know how to figure out which one is the problem? I'm not as concerned about the battery light, I'm going to run it over to the Chevy dealer, UNLESS, are these two things connected? I will give points to best answer, if it is a real, legitimate answer. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, or helps my answer but It has performance Edlebrock headers K&N Air Intake system Magnaflow redirected exhaust Alpine, Punch, and Kenwood CD Head Unit, Power Amplifier, and 4 Subs

How can I change my aftermarket radio back into factory stock radio? - I have a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 CLassic, GMT 800 Platform with an aftermarket radio that was installed when I bought the truck. The radio is a Kenwood KDC-MP632V. I want to change it back to a GM stock radio with 6 CD changer. Can anyone give me help? oh correction the model is KDC-MP632U

Does anyone experience this problem with their Chevy Silverado? - Ok, I just bought this truck used from a Mitsubishi-Hyundai Dealership. It's a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab Classic with a 4.3 Vortec, Code X and with only 17K miles on the truck. My problem is that the exhaust will make some strange vibration when I accelerate to 1200-1400 RPM. It sounds like a growling bear or somekind of noise, but diminishes when accelerated to higher RPM. But anyway my truck is still under factory warranty. Does anyone ever had this problem before?
