HELLO I'm thinking about buying a 2000 Chevrolet Prizm? - I found a great deal on a 2000 Chevrolet Prizm, and I was wondering if anybody knows about this specific model of car. Are they reliable? How many miles can you expect one of them to last? Were there any big problems with the 3rd generation Prizms? Thanks!

Is 100,000 miles a lot for 1999 Chevrolet Prizm? - I'm thinking about buying a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm. I have to admit it will be my first car and I'm not an expert in that area. So, it has 108,000 miles, it's sold buy a dealer and he says everything is perfect with the car (well they always say that). I've seen the car and really looks in very good condition, plus it's doing good on gas. So do you think it's worth it to pay 3000$ for that kind of car?

Can you turn off the driver airbags in a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm? - I am considering buying a 1999 Prizm, but since I am so short, I sit very close to the steering wheel. I am afriad of having the airbags deploy for any reason, including an accident, and causing me serious or fatal injury. Can I turn off all the airbags?

Im giving my son my 2000 Chevrolet Prizm, I want to buy a car around 2007? - Which car should I buy? I need it to be around 10000 ( a little higher is cool but not too high lol). Why is my Chevrolet Prizm consuming oil? - I bought this over a month ago and it has been increasing its oil consumption--over a quart per fillup now. The catalytic converter had to be replaced; oil consumption jumped. Now I have a black smudge on the bumper. Compression is good. We can see a leak, but it is minor and cannot account for the vast amounts of oil it is comsuming.

1998-2002 Chevrolet Prizm? - I have a 2002 prizm; the base model, with a 3 speed auto trans. I know i'm not the first to have one that burns lots of oil (about a quart every 1000 miles or so, with 112K). But, could this all be due to it being a rental first? I actually bought a different one first that burn't a quart every 700 miles, and took it back! that one was also a rental for longer. I found out that the one I have now was only a rental for a short time. Basically, could this all be due from rental cars not being broken in correctly from mile 1 on the odometer? Or does everyone else's Chevrolet Prizm burn lots of oil?
