Where can I get cheap air conditioning for my 2000 chevrolet metro? (if that exists lol)? - I've been looking around and at kragen it's really expensive ($1k+), around the internet I've found them a little cheaper for around $900-1000 this seems like a lot though, 1/3 of what i paid for the car.... The car never had air conitioning so i would need every part, i bought a compressor used for cheap so if that works itll save me something probably So does anyone know a good site where i can get a universal a/c system or just a complete metro a/c system?

2000 chevrolet metro surging rpms? - i have a 2000 chevy metro 1 liter 3 cylinder with a 5 speed manual tranny. i bought the car about 4 months ago from the original owner, and at the time it had 203900 miles. now, its almost reached its 207000th mile, and it continues to be a great little car. the only thing im curious about is why, when the car is at operating temperature, and only when its in neutral or the clutch is disengaged, does the rpms surge between 500 and 3000? the car has done it ever since i bought it. i keep it very well maintained. have any of you metro owners ever experienced this with your car? i think i might try putting a newer fuel filter on and see if that helps.

Whatever happened to the Chevrolet Geo Metro? - Back when gas skyrocketed to $1.25/gal. people railed and Chevrolet introduced the Geo Metro. A 3 cylinder lil pup car that got 55mpg and was good for only 100,000 but also only sold for about $8,000. With gas prices currently down but most likely going up again sometime why does Detroit insist on making cars that only get 32 - 40mpg yet do all they can to convince us that is good mileage? Even the Metro got over 10mpg more than this ugly ass Smart Car. Hell, even my Hyundai Elantra gets better than the Smart Car so it doesn't sound so smart to buy that car.
