HELLO How can I disconnect the anti-theft device installed on my Chevrolet Malibu? - Can anyone please guide me where I could get an owners' Manual for Chevrolet (Malibu). I bought a 1998 model and the anti-theft device installed in it sometimes switches on automatically as if I am stealing my own car. I would like to disconnect it as no mechanic here knows how to do it. Many thanks to you Jim. It really worked and now no trouble with the anti-theft device.

Where is the Oil Filter on a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu? I bought the filter and it is actually a cartridge? - I bought the oil filter and oil the other day and the filter actually looks like the same stuff an air filter is made of... I think the guy called it a cartridge?? Where does it go?

Buying a 2000 Chevrolet Impala or Malibu??? - I want to but a 2000 Chevrolet Impala or Malibu neither have any body damage and are fully automatic. Impala: $4,650 mileage: 128,916 In good condition and runs good. Malibu: $4,500 mileage: 111,099 In good condition and runs good But which one is the better deal? Eventually I am going to paint the one I buy.. This will be my first car... Actually my uncle that is a mechanic saud that since its a 2000 I dont want one over 144,000 miles. Where can I complain about problems I am having with my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu? - I have had a couple of problems with my Chevrolet Malibu that I just bought three weeks ago. I took it to the dealer and they "weren't covered under my warranty" because they were more expensive than my dealer wanted to pay. But I have heard many people who drive the same car with the same problems. Does anyone know where I can go to complain about the issue I am having and maybe Chevrolet will do something about it?

how many miles does a 1999 chevrolet malibu last? - i'm looking into buying a 1999 chevy malibu. it's very well maintenenced and kept up with. very clean and hasn't ever been in an accident. although, the mileage on it is 129,000, or so. does anybody know if this car will even last me much longer?

How much can I get out of my car? It's a 2001 Chevy Chevrolet Malibu.? - I am thinking of selling my 2001 Chevrolet Malibu (it has about 130,000 miles on it) because it is leaking antifreeze. It did this once before and eventually the head gaskets blew & head cracked. I had to spend about $600 to get it fixed, and now it is happening again. I don't know if I should sell it or buy a new motor, so I have a few questions: 1. How much could I get out of my car if I sell it in the condition it is in? It has 130,000 miles on it. 2. If I decided to buy a new motor, where would I buy it from and how much would it cost? 3. Is there anywhere I could buy wrecked cars? I'm sure I could get a wrecked 01 Malibu and put the motor from it into my car. 4. I have heard that all 01 Malibus have poorly built motors. Is this true? 5. What should I do? Sell my car & buy a whole new car or just get a new motor for my car? Thank you guys!!

what do you think of a malibu maxx? - I am thinking of buying a 2006 chevrolet malibu maxx. Just want some opinions to make sure its a good car. Thanks! I'm having to down size. I cant afford the gas in my truck i spend about 70 a week putting gas in my truck. I have a child so I cant have a very small car so I thought the malibu maxx would be perfect because it is a hatchback instead of the tiny trunks cars have so i can store my tools, stroller ect. The prices I have seen on them are a lot lower than I thought they would be. if any one owns one of these let me know what you think about them. Are they good on gas, comfy, roomy, how do they ride and drive?? I'm not looking for smart ass answers like the first answer i got just want to know how they run out. Thanks!

2009 Chevrolet Malibu won't accelerate after stopping at a stoplight? - It only does it once and a while. It will do it in stop and go traffic. (i.e.-stopping at a stoplight, stopping to let someone turn.) Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find a problem. I cannot tell weather it dies or not because it runs so quiet. There is no indicator light that comes on. By The Way- It is a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ. It is only about 3 months old and it has been to the shop 4 times. There was a recall on the Malibus but not for that reason. If anyone is thinking of buying a Malibu, I don't recommend it. I recommend a Chevrolet Impala or a Chevrolet Cobalt Thanks
