HELLO Where can I buy aftermarket 1996 Chevrolet Corsica Headlights? - I have a 1996 Chevy Corsica and the head lights suck. It's not actual bulb that's the problem it's the etching on the headlight enclosure. It deflect virtually all of the light shinning from the bulb. I've been searching for about a hour trying to find new headlight enclosures that aren't just replacements. Thanks for the help

What's the least I could expect to pay for a head gasket (+ labor) on a '91 Chevrolet Corsica? - I don't know much about cars or car repair. I just thought I'd ask this quick question because my husband called me from work claiming that one of his co-workers (who he claims knows about car repair) said that we need a new head gasket and that it's so expensive that we'd be better off buying a new car instead. I'm just wondering if it really is THAT expensive. My husband has been itching for a new car, so I'm suspicious that he's pulling my leg to convince me to let him bounce on over to the nearest dealership. Since I'm not too bright when it comes to cars, I'm not even sure if a head gasket could be the problem. We have oil leaks and a coolant leak (that comes and goes). Not much information, but that's all I know. What do you think? Please forgive my ignorance.

Water Pump Problem? - So, my husband and I bought a 1993 Chevrolet Corsica a couple of months ago. This weekend we took a trip that ended up being about 400 miles round trip. About 300 miles into our trip, the Check Engine light came on, but there was no noticable problem with the car, no overheating, no clanking or odd smells, the light went off about 2 minutes later. So we got it home, no problems whatsoever. My husband drove it to work this morning, and we were preparing to go to the store tonight in it, and we noticed a massive amount of radiator fluid under the car and the overflow bottle was empty. The leaking appears to be coming from the engine, and the antifreeze is running down one of the upper belts. Could this be a water pump problem? If so, what is the average cost to repair one (I know water pumps are relatively inexpensive, but we'll need to take it in to a shop). Does anyone have any idea? All replies will be greatly appreciated.

Honda Fit underpowered? - Well I am planning to buy a Honda Fit. And I was wondering if it would feel underpowered to me. The engine of the Honda is a 1.5 liter 117hp. I currently drive a Chevrolet Corsica, with an engine of 2.4 liters and between 99-120hp. So would it feel the same. Or will it feel diferent while driving it because of the liter? Thank you.

Replacing ignition module - is this all I need? - I took my car to have diagnostics done on it and I was told that the ignition module needs to be replaced. It is a 92 Chevrolet Corsica. I have a friend who can do it but he told me that I need to buy the part(s) first. I think I found them on Ebay Motors but I'm not 100% sure that this is all I need. Here is a link to the part: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170304384735&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Does that include all the parts I need to replace the ignition module? I was quoted $180 at multiple auto shops for JUST the part and $170 at some local car part shops. $60 sounds pretty heavenly compared to nearly $200.

Can a sixteen-year-old purchase a vehicle without parental consent in Kansas? - My son, a sixteen-year-old minor, had a friend who wanted to sell him, my son, his car. The car is an older, beat-up Chevrolet Corsica, which my son purchased for $295. He purchased this car without my consent and without telling me first--he was excited to buy a car. After he brought it home, I told him he made a bad decision--the sound system was stripped, the paint is chipped, the radiator leaks, there is oil everywhere under the hood, the car makes a horrible noise when started, some lights are missing, etc. My son later said, "I should give it to a homeless man so he can have a home", if that tells you anything about its condition. Regardless of the car's condition, I do not believe my son has the legal ability to purchase the car without my consent. Both my son and I have agreed that the car should be "re-traded" for the money. The boy has said he does not want to and that their transaction is legally binding although I do not think this is the case. If I were to take this to small claims court, would the judge agree that the $295 should be repaid and the car returned? I like in Kansas, by the way. The car is not worth $295--at the rate it leaks fluids, I doubt it will much longer. As for the transference of ownership, the seller (my son's friend) did not follow directions at all. First of all, he was supposed to fill in the car's description and odometer reading before my son signed and before he signed, which he did not do. Then, he was supposed to sign after my son signed, which he did not do. What he did do is this: he signed in his signature and name and put the car title in the glove box--that is it. My son didn't sign anything.
