When buying a used car, how do you know if the mileage displayed on the odometer is actual or not altered? - Is there another odometer device that keeps track of the actual miles in the engine compartment that I could check to be sure I'm not getting scammed? I'm looking to buy a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice Police Package Sedan from a taxi company and the odometer reads 73,000 miles? Or how would I know if the fuse to the odometer wasn't pulled for 100K miles, then replaced, and didn't register any miles?

What Do Yall Think About The Chevrolet Caprice History?? - Me, I liked the bubbles personally of the ninenty's. The box caprices looks like cabs and the donks are really not my cup of tea. Yeah, the bubble Caprice defitinely is the best by comparison to the boxes. The boxes just look like a bunch of cabbies; while the donks just look like a tainted version of the Impala. The Caprices back then of the late 60's and all 70's look like copies of the real deal Impalas. They are all good cars though, the donks and boxes make real good hoopties; which is a general use car, for all the geeks! And what about the Holden Caprice? I think I would buy that one above all of the old ones because it is so unique and different from everyone else's car. People be just glaring at me, while I'm driving and say: "What the heck model of car is that". And I'll just say, "You don't know about that, thats the Holden Caprice snitches. I actually have a box Caprice and my brother had grandpas bubble back 5 years ago but destroyed it somehow. A Caprice fan!

chevy caprice a/c problems? - i have a 1991 chevrolet caprice and my a/c work but it blow hot air... my compressor work good and my hoses.. i went to auto zone and bought some freon and it was r13 but my car says r12...autozone said it be alright and i bought one can... i put it in and it still dont work.. do you think i should go get an a/c tune up and let them add more freon in it or go get some more? it hot as hell outside i stay in ga...its about 106 degrees outside
