Cadillac Escalade ESV? - Would it be ridiculous to get a used Cadillac Escalade ESV when you just turned 18 and buy a new 2011 Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum Edition at the age of 19? How much would I need for a down payment to keep the monthly payments around 500-700 a month for the 2011 ESV? What would be the maintenance costs be as well for the first two years?

2005 Cadillac Escalade ESV for $10k, is this a good offer? - So my dad's friend wants to sell his 2005 cadillac escalade ESV for $10k. I saw the car with my dad and it was awesome. It had no scratches AT ALL, the engine was pretty good, and the interior was amazing. So what do u think of this offer? Should we buy it?

Why are people always hating on Cadillac Escalade ESV's and Cadillac and other luxury cars and trucks? - I feel like everyone hates on ESV's calling them overpriced suburbans and tahoes. Also other luxury cars like the Hummer(which I have) and others calling them unnecessary and needlessy expensive and saying that "its bad for the environment" and "what about all the starving children" and crap like that. Oh and it's always the poor ones saying these things and they are just mad because they can't afford the finer things in life. I mean my parents work everyday just like everyone else's and they work hard for what they get so why are people hating and showing distaste for the people who like to buy nicer things than most. FYI my first car will be a Cadillac Escalade ESV that i will buy myself so there. I was just wondering if others felt the same way? my point is proven with no answers. stop hating on people who can afford the things you wish you could get.

Own any year of a Hummer H2, Land Rover Range Rover, or Cadillac Escalade ESV/EXT?? - I am looking to buy a new car and I'm seriously considering an SUV because I like them and they are much safer than any Scion or other small car.I'm 18 and I plan on putting about 25K down as a down payment. So I'm wondering what your thoughts are on these trucks and if you have any advice or problems since you've owned it? Also would the insurance be manageable on Long Island in New York? Yea I already know about how much gas they drink because my dad has on 05 H2 so I already know. Plus it will be my money not my parents money and yes I will be able to afford it. So all I want is if there are any prevalent problems worth mentioning to a new buyer?

how much would it cost to fix bumper damage on 2005 cadillac escalade? - i have a 2005 Escalade ESV. i recently got into a fender bender which caused scratches across the top right bumper. will it be cheaper to get it fixed or buy a new bumper? and what would the prices be? i re-examined the scratch, and there are cracks in the bumper. can i still take it to the bodyshop??

What's up with car salesmen not wanting to sell hybrids?...lower commissions? - Today we tried to buy a Toyota Highlander Hybrid...what an ordeal. The salesman actually tried to discourage us from buying the car. First we were told that there weren't any available. We asked to see one (even a non-hybrid to at least check out the design). He said, "They're way down the street." Then he said that we wouldn't be able to get one for a long time...and why bother. Then he said that the mileage difference was no big deal. I said to him, "Why are you trying to NOT sell us a hybrid?" He just said that they were extremely hard to get, and that we'd be disappointed. I couldn't help but feel like there was a larger picture behind it all... Has anyone else run into this problem? I am guilty of being part of the "more is better" generation. I'm ashamed to admit that we own a Cadillac Escalade ESV...a true gas guzzler. Last night we rented "Who Killed the Electric Car?" (a must see).. & a real wake up call. We're trying to be more responsible and buy a hybrid...if only we can!
