HELLO Can you drive a '90 Buick Reatta if you bypass the Trans. Cooler? ? - My mother just recently bought a used '90 Buick Reatta from a friend of ours. The trans cooler went out, and they bypassed it and told us it would be ok to drive, for now. Now we have also heard from others that this will tear up or transmission. Is this true? How much do Trans Coolers usually run?

Buick reatta 1991 starting problems (maybe security system)? - ok i just bought a 1991 buick reatta. the first owner said that there was NOTHING wrong with it. an hour after i drive it, it dies...it steering wheel locks up and i cant gas it. call the guy and he says it is due to the wear down on the "chip" on the key. he then starts it and it runs fine. we drive it 2 seconds it dies AGAIN. he then says that he car is in "protection" mode due to the security system in it... after that we let it be cuz the guy said he will make a new key and have a new ignition for it but he says not to put it in yet.. (this was around 11:30 am) around 4pm my friend that was helping and with me the whole time gets a knock on her door from him saying everything is fine he clams to have ran it and started it at least 20-30 times with out problems. at 6pm when i try to run it, it starts fine, we reverse and once we put it in drive it dies AGAIN! we tried jumping it and it wont start.... the guy told us that if u unlock the car the wrong way it goes into that "protection" mode and it wont start...is it in face the security system?? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???? ANY ANSWERS WILL HELP! **only real answers please nothing like oh that sucks or you shouldnt have bought that**

problems with Buick Reatta? - Does any one know anything about what problems that the buick reatta has? like alt going out, head gaskets blowing all the time, random piston stoppage, etc..... Let me know cause i just might buy one soon. Thanks a lot for your facts and knowledge.

Any one own a Buick Reatta? - looking into buying one, im pretty automotive savvy, but this one is way before my time. i just need to know if they are reliable and easy to fix and if they handle well.
