HELLO bmw 8 series? - y did they discontinue the 8 series? i bought 1 a month ago, and its a great car!! i love everything about it. well maby not, some minor interior features dont stand the test of time, and its not easy to maintain, but other than that its such a perfect car. so y did they discontinue it?

What Happened to the BMW 8 Series? - Why did they stop making the 8 series? I personally think they look really cool and would definitely buy one(none are that close by for sale and most are in California). Was their a specific reason behind BMW not making this series anymore?

Can a car engine tune up improve the car idle? - I bought a BMW 3 series 8 months ago and since the last 2 days it has been idling very low, I noticed the previous owner put a K&N air filter on it and I do not have the factory air unit, there is a cold air intake going from the bottom of the car to the K&N air filter. I have tried changing the idle control valve and mass air flow sensor but still the same problem. Please tell me what can I do.

Advice on what car i should buy? - I am looking to buy a used car, am currently looking at a BMW 8 series, a Jaguar XJS and a Volkswagen Corrado. Based on the three cars i have listed above can anyone recommend any other cars i should check out? All inputs will be most welcome. P.S I am on a budget of £5000 if that helps. I am going to allow an additional £1,500 per year for repairs etc (Not for the VW), would this be adequate?

What do you think of this new BMW 3 series? - It's called the 320d SE Efficient Dynamics and does 68.9mpg (combined), has 163hp and 265lb/ft torque. 0-62mph takes 8.2secs. Impressive? I think so. I think it's really impressive how much they have improved both power and fuel economy over the last decade. 9 years ago the 320d only managed 136bhp and 49.6mpg, so they've gained 25bhp and almost 20mpg, as well as the car being a little bigger. I disagree about the C-Class, looking at their NCAP crash test scores, they're pretty similar on safety. And its not cheaper either, compared to the standard 320d se, an equivalent model would be a c220 cdi blueff. elegance, which costs about the same (www.whatcar.com target price) and is less powerful, slower to 60, and rated a worse car overall. If you pay an extra £1000 you can get the C250, which is more powerful and faster but more expensive.

Actually you're wrong, hybrids like the Prius typically come least close to their advertised mpg. Typically more powerful petrol and diesel cars will get closest to their advertised figure. And in the UK the 320d is BMW's best selling car, the best selling car in its class, and one of the best selling company cars. Clearly all those people thought it worth the extra over a Prius.

I am buying myself a car for my birthday please help me narrow down the choices? - I've graduated school, paid off loans, time to buy myself a car, it's my 25th coming up so as a bonus I save money on insurance...I've narrowed down the list to a few cars, please take a look at them and suggest which one is best and why.
